Dine Out nearly unplayable

Me and my all my sims waiting for the food to arrive be like

I haven't tried to run a restaurant (soon I hope) but so far the two restaurants I've visited one premade and the other I built have worked near perfect as far as I could tell.

Is it just the owning a restaurant that's the issue or am I missing something ?

I have found after some investigating that at least half of these issues are build related. Made a post about in the General forum. There SOME bugs, but I find at least 50% is just screwups with builds in custom restaurants.

Forget the names. EA diner.

By the time foods comes. Eat it. Get there 8am and leave by 6pm , from going out for breakfast lol.

It's also more than frustrating when going five star restaurant to eat and your food quality is still poor or normal and waitress are dropping plates all the time. I tried to create a restaurant and educated my staff to have 10 at every skill they need, when I go to that restaurant with other household there was Eliza Pancake cooking and food was just normal. That food waiting time is annoying too!
That pack would probably be one of my favourites, but now it just makes me cry every time I try to use it.

My sims went to a restaurant the other night, and I was surprised they got seated and served rather quickly, despite lots of guests. In fact, everything worked so well, that they forgot to pay when leaving, LOL.

They actually fixed the REALLY big bug that was introduced with one of the Sulani patches: The "Guests steal food from each other" bug.

Personally I find it usable again, although my last experience was a waiter that dropped our food (never seen that before) and we had to wait even longer to be served. Plus the Old Salt House restaurant always places us outside. In thunderstorms. Because why not.

@Beardedgeek you can choose the table you want at the restaurant by clicking on it rather than selecting the host.

I know that NOW, I found out in this thread, I think about a week ago :). That is a tip they SHOULD have at the loading screen.

I upgraded the Chez Llama Resturant by adding two more cooking stations for this very reason. The only thing I don't recommend it placing it in Magnolia Promenade because that little town is horrible in restaurant lag for some odd reason.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't yet placed one here but I'd been planning on it. It's unfortunate though because it feels like the perfect restaurant setting to me.
