I get that, but since Twitter is more efficient, why not use it? They can interact with more players about more subjects in less time on Twitter. And that's the goal here. To interact with as many people as possible, about as many things as possible. Times change, they move forward. So should we. Plus it's better at Twitter for us too. As usually the communication feels more personal, immidiate and friendly
Twitter is NOT MORE EFFICIENT!!!!!
It is just another way to be ignored with more LIMITED amounts to be able to write. It is also another way for the "cool popular kids" to exclude parts of the community.
I've never been ignored on Twitter. Nor have I ever seen any other simmer get ignored unless they were rude or kept asking the same thing over and over again even though it has been answered multiple times. And who are the cool popular kids?
If you haven't been ignored yet then you just got lucky. They simply can't reply to all 20.000+ followers. It's not possible. (I wouldn't even necessarily call it "ignored" but simply "overlooked".)
On the forums they can write a reply in a thread which focuses on a specific topic and everyone who cares about that topic can see it. On Twitter you often don't even know what they replied to because tweets get deleted or Twitters are private.
Not so - when a Guru replies to my post and I have not seen it and clicked it - it gets sent to my twitter page as long as I am a follower of that Guru - twitter always lets me know when I have a reply I may have missed as well as when something I posted was liked. You do not miss your replies unless you don't go to your home twitter page. You get Notifications the minute you go on twitter with a number of how many replies etc you have gotten that you had no clicked on. So if you still missed them or they got lost on a Guru's page - they are on your own page - you click them and it takes you right to the post.
Yep, of course we can view the tweet that has been replied and we will eventually get the notification... but, what he/she meant is, when the tweet got deleted or went to private.. because the tweets can be deleted before we can even read it..unless you install some apps to recover the deleted tweets/DMs.
And we just blindly tweet stuff to the gurus without really being able to see what other stuff has been tweeted to them that has not been answered. Twitter is chaotic. The forums are much better organized.
Totally agree and then we will be told off that they have answered it multiple times... I also don't have time to see every reply, let alone to stalk on them... :D The forum is much better where we can look for the keywords and start involve with the existing discussion..."wormstache999;c-16820371" wrote:

I think there is a misunderstanding here. Maybe I wasn't wording it correctly. I meant the Gurus probably overlook some tweets because they can't check hundreds or maybe even thousands of tweets. Even if they get notifications they most likely don't have time to read through all these tweets.
And my second part was about scrolling through the Guru's Twitter feed - Sometimes you'll find replies where they say something like "Nope, not going to happen" and you can't see what they responded to because it only shows "Tweet unavailable".
I generally open the whole discussion panel - and the only ones I don't see are generally the private ones - but I understand it was private between the Guru and the person who tweeted - and not meant to be shared for what ever reason. It does not bother me as private to me means it wasn't my business. But basically I don't hang on tweeter - I go there if I have a question, or after something is announced or after a live twitch - to see any additional info Gurus have to say, or to see my notifications for replies to any question or statement I made.
I hang on the forums for the most part to see what simmers are talking about. But for me Twitter is just a way to get a question answered or sometimes get more info on announcements. I don't ever just hang there very long.- The problem as I see it, is that none of the avenues available have sufficed real, meaningful product support to their paying customers.
The currently available technologies are insufficient for offering real, in-depth support that gets the issues handled and addressed in any organized, efficient sort of way. There has been a serious lack of meaningful results, which means that there is a strong and serious need for them to improve the ways in which they go about offering product support and customer engagement.
What they're doing now is just not getting it done even close to the results we should be seeing. We need better product support that works. "EveryDaySim;c-16820484" wrote:

Well if you have problems you need to address the team that fixes the game Sims Guru Nick and his team, not the Devs and Producers Gurus who make the game as the most they can do is tag Nick and his team(@SimGuruArvin @SimGuruNick and @SimGuruIcarus) at HQ or post there now: here:https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/bd-p/The-Sims-4
I realize some people have long standing problems - but not everyone has them so some problems when it is not in all games are harder to fix - I feel for you all having issues but the fact is this is the way they tell us we have to go about making the techs aware of the issues and how many have it and the more that have it that share game files the more hopeful they can solve an issue that not everyone gets.
I'm sorry it does not help any of you - especially if you have already done that - I just don't know what else to say but repeat what they tell us to do.- I haven't read through every page, so I apologize if this has been stated already:
My problem with Twitter is that it is a very public platform.
Specialty forums like this one allow members to discuss their hobbies with like-minded individuals without everyone on the "Friends" list being made privy to it. Everyone that I know doesn't need to know that I have a Sims addiction. :D
Anyway, that's my two cents. - MidnightAura867 years agoSeasoned Ace

I was ignored a few days when I posted a clip of lag on my nieces game. I wasn’t rude, I tagged Gurus and was blanked. Don’t get me wrong i know they are busy so I’m not offended. I’m not saying I want Gurus to hang out here 24/7 that’s not their job but I don’t think posting selfies and sharing weird memes on twitter is part of their job either.
I agree, they don’t want to come here, that’s been proven over the years. I just don’t think it’s good to ignore a section of your community. It’s not that common from my experience in other communities and I don’t think it’s very inclusive at all.
Were you tagging a Guru for Consoles? You need to follow and tag the proper Guru's depending on what game and equipment it is for which if you tagged a Guru for the pc with a console question - that also may be why they did not answer you.
Nope i tagged sim Guru nick who deals with bugs for console as well as pc and sim Guru Legacy.
Sometimes I’ve had replies for pc, sometimes I haven’t. Gurus can not communicate to everyone on twitter and it’s very easy for them to miss things . "Zasz;c-16820537" wrote:
I have to question peoples sanity if they think twitter is more effective than a forum for communication. Twitter is something for attention plums and short announcements, not for communicating.

yeah I definitely agree with that. to keep it private you'd have to make like a second twitter I guess? and if you already use twitter a fair amount on your main account then that's an unnecessary hassle on top of the hassle of maintaining one/two twitter accounts. I do prefer the privacy (and specificity) of the forums."Cynna;c-16820641" wrote:

Hi guys, we mostly lurk, but we do read (almost) everything and report back, and I know Gurus read here too.
This has been a super-interesting conversation, seeing everyone's views on different communication mediums, but I want to remind folks to stay on topic and be respectful of others opinions. Folks can get very passionate about social media & privacy, and we don't want things to derail.
Thank you. - JayandMeeka7 years agoSeasoned AceI definitely know they do. One of my favourite moments ever was when @SimGuruSteve tagged a meme to a post I made. I literally have it bookmarked on my browser in case I need to save it to my PC again.
Best.Moment.Ever.
My favourtie meme
If you're interested.
(Just in case anyone is confused, I changed my username on the forums I while back. I used to be KatyJay88).
