@Pamtastic72 I kinda agree with toggles not meaning much because they don't use direct toggles a lot in ts4 but they use discreet toggles! You are still in control!!! As I stated before you could easily not become a 5star celebrity or cheat the start yyou want if you didn't want crazy fans but just a little fame.
You could disguise yourself if you just didn't want ANY attention at all.
You could lock your doors, use garlic and stay away from vampire lore to avoid ALL breakins which wasn't even that frequent in the first place.
You could turn off the weather options. You could upgrade the murphey bed!!
Spellcaster are limited to their realm, so is possessed sims. You could even delete them if u never wanted to see them.
I could go one and on but we have all sorts of toggles that are in game. There is literally no reason or anything to be nerfed ? people just don't seem to want to make use of it. They want it gone completely.
THANK YOU! This is my line of thought right here. If you delete all spellcasters/vampires from your game... guess what? You won't have any spellcasters or vampires wandering around. Yes, the game could still spawn more without mods to stop them, but guess what? You can just delete them again. It's really not that hard. I've even brought this up on a thread before.
Honestly, it just seems like people think the game should be catered to them and them only without any regard to other players and what they want. Or just want all occults nerfed completely out of existence because *whining voice * ThE sImS iS a LiFe SiMuLaToR oCcUlTs ArE sO uNrEaLiStIc.
But meeting someone at 2:00pm and marrying them by 10:00pm is realistic??? Like come on... the Sims is full of quirky things that aren't going to happen in real life and they want to complain about vampires and spellcasters?

@Pamtastic72 so you rather not have any toggles cuz people will complain anyways?
perhaps the pack could use more toggles as the ones it got are a bit too generic.
No, @bella_goth, I am saying toggles don’t seem to matter, because people complain about a feature anyway and then the feature gets removed, and I don’t have an issue with people voicing their opinions but I do have an issue with a feature I was looking forward to and paid for getting swiped out of my game in a subsequent patch because those who complain refuse to use the resources available to them to remedy their complaints.
I don’t see how a toggle that expressly disables your sim from dying from weather effects being made available being “too generic” in fact I don’t know how you get more specific. But the complainers wouldn’t use the toggle and now weather related deaths basically no longer exist. Just I don’t see how a toggle expressly exempting your sim from fame is “too generic” either, but as another poster pointed out and they’re correct you can work your way up to a global super star now and receive very little attention in public because again people were given a remedy, no again two remedies/toggles by way of the celebrity disguise in addition to turning fame gain off and it’s still mostly gone.
Personally at this point they should just release the gameplay devs from their employ and just make furniture, clothing, makeup, and accessories. Because there’s no point in having people develop gameplay features that will appear in the game in June only to have them patched out in July or August no matter how many toggles they come with.
Reading through all of these replies, I think I'm in agreement: toggles are worthless. I mean if the options are there and people are still complaining and refuse to use them: introducing more isn't going to solve anything.
To anyone thinking of buying this pack: If you're buying a pack titled
Paranormal Stuff, expect there to be ghosts and other mystical things in the pack. Just like you should have known there would be vampires doing vampire things in a pack called
Vampires. Or fame & celebrities in
GET FAMOUS. Don't complain about something you
know is coming in a pack. Especially when it's the main feature of that pack. If I buy a Farming pack and move my sims onto a farm lot, knowing full well that there's going to be farm chores: I have no right to complain about it being "intrusive" to my gameplay or there being "too much farm stuff." I bought the pack knowing I would be annoyed at the chores, but I did anyway. And guess what? That's on me.
I should just accept that the chores are going to be there, & avoid them by not having my sims live on that lot. NOT complain to the devs that I want it nerfed.
