- BILLS UPDATE
Speaking of Bills, we’ve added a cohesive breakdown of Sim’s Bills information that can be accessed via an interaction on the Mailbox or Phone. Now instead of lumping everything together, you can see what percentage of your Bills go to Water, what percentage go to Power, insight into any Fees, Reductions, or Penalties. All this and more, calculated and cleanly presented for your finer understanding.
Just copied that, hope it helps break it down some, it was hard for me too - SimmervilleSeasoned AceI find the bills quite complicated, not impressed with the in-game break down. But - it gets a bit more logical after playing through a few generations or so. Still have no clue how say a windmill or dew collector actually affects the bills, and all numbers are so small that it actually doesn't matter. I don't care a lot whether my sim is charged §302 or §322.

Yeah... I am not happy about all my sims getting a bill of 300 simoleons no matter if they have an mansion or a tent on the lot. That might be an exaggeration but I get pretty much the same bill no matter what. Hope they will fix that soon. - NetzspannungSeasoned Newcomer

I am also not happy about it. A small home has the same lot tax as a §300,000 mansion. I added a mod to fix it for now because making money is already too easy in the game and spending it is really hard. - @smurfy77 : yes, I can access that part. It's just all Greek to me. LOL.
@Simmerville @SilentKitty @Netzspannung : I am there with you. I would think that would have been the first thing they fixed, honestly. - NetzspannungSeasoned NewcomerI know that some are speculating that this is just how bills are now, but I checked again after the patch and the tooltip (when you hover over the item in the billing information) for 'lot tax' still says that lot taxes are based "on the value of all objects on the lot and the lot's value". So there should be a fix at some point.

If anyone is experiencing this remember to click "me too" over on the bug-site. That is our best option of getting it fixed.

Lol, it looks the same to me lol- I have been using a mod that i can't remember the name... it fixes this problem.
- SimmervilleSeasoned AceHm, I just had a house being visited by the ECO control freak person. He checked (scanned) the house and said the house was not according to N.A.P. and that there will be a fee added to the bills until this was fixed. I have no idea how hefty that fee will be, but as we can have 4 N.A.P.s, I imagine houses that are huge (=doing more of the wrong thing, like having 5 fireplaces instead of 1) or houses not minding those plans, might actually get a much bigger bill.
Perhaps there are more extras added to the bills as we play that house over some time?
I wish there was a guide from EA on this, showing a few examples, perhaps. If the fee is §100 I couldn't care less, but if it is §10000, then we're talking :)
