Festivals and weather

I kind of like that the festivals will sometimes be "broken". I don't visit them often, but my impression is that they span often, so if they occasionally are not worth the visit, fine with me. I see it as a bigger issue that my sim can't check the San Myshuno weather before getting there. It would be better if I knew the weather, and then could decide NOT attending the outdoor festival. I would probably never send my sim long distance to an outdoor festival during Winter, but the festival could still be a decent event to sims living in San Myshuno.

My Sims never even go to festivals anymore. :p They just become way too repetitive for me.

I love the festivals! It's usually here that my sim becomes addicted to bubbles, lol. It can be disappointing that the geekcon has rain and thunderstorms, if that's the case I just send my sim into the bar to sing horrible karoke and drink, lol.

Just like in the real, I go to festivals when the weather is best for them.

Never heard of ComicCon happening in the Winter, or any festival really.
I don't have City Living so i don't know if you can move the date of an event, or it's location.

Thought it was annoying but much like a lot of outdoor festivals and such they can and will get ruined by the weather.

I had made a lot where geekcon appears with video games rigs and such inside so whenever it does rain or storm they can just go on inside and continue.

Think the only thing is like is a way to see what the weather will be like in another world and giving the weather channel more purpose.

I didn't know it was possible to move the electronics inside. Do you need to do anything specific to trigger the location correctly?

Indeed the Geekcon can be a nightmare at winter... really risky for sims :s They do not run inside the karaoke as they do with storms:

Also the "Dancing parties" (Windenburg) do not work with the rain: the DJ boot is always broken :/

Really? The DJ booth works for me the other day.

You might build a cellar under the Planet Honey Pop and move parts of the Geek Con festival down there. Such a cellar is considered a part of the festival.
Add the staircases first to make sure they don't destroy the karaoke bar.

I might try this. Has anyone else done this? Can you move festival items?
