- OldeSimsFanNew TravelerIf you mean TS2, then the only limits are imagination and mood, though adding unexpected roomies is a frequent trick. I have Simpe, so it's easy to toss in townies or teens my sim doesn't know. If you mean TS4, there aren't any unless you really like gardening or jungle exploring.. The only real game enliveners are the bugs & glitches.
- Reddestiny921Seasoned VeteranI like stories even small ones i mix in happy families and small ones with their opposites with singles whatever works. I also take breaks and play other games just to come and chill with sims.
- The most obvious thing for me is usually when I have inspiration. Either I saw something, thought of something, or there is something new that I want to mess with. Inspiration comes and goes, and little is less fun than trying to force it. So, yeah, if I do not have the desire to play I simply do not. That has always been the case for me, though.
It helps that I can be inspired by or reuse some of my old inspiration. For example, I have several old sims that I have attachments to and I already know how everything works with them. Rerolling them into a new a idea is easier than having to come up with everything new, and means even fragments of inspiration are viable. - adding new multifunctional buildings and stuff

I am a very slow player, I bought ROM at release.. and only now have my first spell caster, Mona.
This is so interesting. I'm the exact opposite. I always dive in the new content immediately and I try to rush through everything in the new pack. I'm curious how you haven't created a spellcaster all this time? Maybe you are not into occults?
Pretty much what @Duvelina said above :) My main sim is a vampire, so it is not the occult part. Just that I haven't got any real need/interest to have any spellcasters before, or a sim who I would like to be one :)- Mods. I use mods that affect reactions and autonomy and the drama that can happen still surprise me. Sometimes I do a challenge but add a twist to make it tougher, like placing it on a short lifespan.

I create my OCs in the game and... just play... watching what my characters are doing is somehow engaging for me. lol It's pretty nice when I play my sim and then I see my OC who fulfilled their dreams and started a family. Then I'm reminding myself of each roleplay with these OCs. It works for me somehow. :>
This is pretty much how I play as well. Sometimes something that happens in the game will spark an idea, and I'll guide the Sims from their to play out a certain storyline, but most of the time I just play and let things unfold as they will. - BabykittyjadeRising Observer

My game is just a massive soap opera ?, scandals, deaths, cheats, vampires, witches and aliens, I created a serial killer sim that killed rich old men for their mansion and riches lol
????? - BabykittyjadeRising Observer@mingusssss really love that! Very similar to how I play. My main sims are enternal. I could never let them die and I feel attached with them. ?And I keep my rotation fairly small
- KatAnubisRising NoviceMostly I enjoy playing my one main family (on "long life"). I keep them fresh by switching out aspirations and careers. And new SP/GP/EPs often help too (as now there are even more things for them to try.)
However, sometimes I get the urge to do something else. I'll do a "legacy challenge" or a "rags to riches challenge." Or I'll go on a building bender. Or I do a "no custom content family" to make sure that a new update isn't going to cause problems.
And then sometimes I just take a break. Right now I'm on a break waiting for the new update to require that once again I have to update all my mods. (I don't blame EA for this happening. I just accept that it does because EA can't test all the creator's mods but they *need* to change things that sometimes mess up the mods.) I have a "date" with my godson every Tuesday night and every other weekend to play Minecraft with him (in a Realm, with discord so that we can talk to each other while we play.) We just started a "new environment" so I've actually been playing between our games (which is the *only* time he can play because he doesn't have constant computer access.) I'm trying to get our place set up so that it's not so frustrating for him. (He's only in 3rd grade, so he hasn't developed some of the "how to handle frustration" techniques.)
