Has anyone experienced this or know anything about it? My sims youngest daughter, Megan, visited her parents & grandmother with her husband and two toddlers, Beth & Brandon. The house has toddler beds & potty chairs. Beth needed sleep so I sent her to take a nap in one of the toddler beds. Her great grandmother came in a minute later and said “this is inappropriate. Please stop”. Beth woke up and went off to play. A little while later I sent her to take a nap again & the same thing happened. I finally just sent Megan & family home. Beth & Brandon are good friends with their great grandmother. I can’t understand what is inappropriate with a toddler taking a nap.

Yeah it's weird that Sims do that. I'd like this to fixed in a patch or something.

Yes it is weird, and annoying, but if you purchase the 'welcome anywhere' (it might not be called exactly that!) reward trait for 500 points your Sims can do what they want in any house.

I always hated that in sims games. I haven’t tried having family split into two households in S4 yet, but I have in S3 and it was relentless. My sims would go to their grandma’s house, and they would get yelled at for taking food out of the fridge, using the shower, and sleeping. It’s not like they walked into some stranger’s house.Does the game track family relationships across households? If not, I suppose you could do those things in a good friend’s house.I ran into trouble with the inappropriate thing when having a cooking club. When hosting a gathering at the active sim’s house, guests would do whatever they wanted, but when I went to another sims house during a gathering and if I dared to open their refrigerator... watch out! But the whole purpose of the club is to cook at eachother’s house.I say all ‘inappropriate’ restrictions should go away when you reach a certain friendship level, such as good friends, and if actions are done through a club.

This has always made me laugh. I recently had a sim come home to visit her Mother and siblings that were still living in the family home. Her brother's girlfriend who is living in the home now yelled at her for taking a shower. Really she was born and grew up in that house. :D :D

It would be nice to have sleepovers.

I hate that "This is inappropriate. Please stop” thing - it is just so stupid. What is inappropriate about a friend or relative wanting to cook everyone a meal or use a shower or a little tired toddler using a bed? Sheesh - you would think your sims were streaking in their house. Wish they would just get rid of it.

It's weird that it seems inappropriate to cook something in the microwave. I mean, cmon, why are these sims so sensitive? :D

What bothers me is the double standard in regards to this.

You can invite a sim to stay the night at your house and they can take food out of your fridge without even asking and sleep in your beds. But you get called out by the other sims as inappropriate if you do that at their house even if you know them well.

They need to fix it so it makes more sense, good friends and boyfriends/girlfriends and family should be allowed to visit and hang out without worrying about passing out or starving because the sim they visit won't let them sleep, cook for them, or let them get their own food.

My sims even cook for their guests but they still have to ruin immersion by stealing from my fridge....during a dinner party even. Its annoying to the point where I lock rooms I don't want non household sims in....like my kitchen.

If the sims whose house it is puts them to bed, they'll still do it.

Yeah, I have a sim that goes over to his girlfriend to visit her and his child. One time he was tired and I had him try to sleep there and the girlfriend roused him out of bed too. I would rather if be and interaction on the played sim.

I wonder if you could cheat the Always Welcome reward trait onto a toddler.

Thanks @Jordyn78988. I can try, but they took a lot of cheats away with the Seasons patch. Although I think they added some back. Anyway, I’ll check it out.
