Is Politican career an active career?

Here's the thing, I didn't notice anything that remotely hinted towards an active or inactive Political career in that trailer anyways. The trailer mainly focused on apartments, penthouse life, and street life in the way of like street fairs and that sort of stuff. I saw what looked like an active entertainer career. A living statue performance. Food booths, the eating contest might be coming back as well as the bubble blowing machine. I saw that the fireworks might also be making a return as well. I saw some new clothes with new patterns on them, new decor, the possible return of the electric piano, new hair styles, one new hat, and various other new stuff too. But no Political career or anything pointing to such.

I hope it's an active career but I very much doubt it. However I hope they include special events for politicians (eg fund raiser) and daily tasks add more variety (eg throwing fund raisers, raising X amount of money for the campaign, giving speeches, visit the elderly etc lol)

I don't think it will be an active career but it would require you to do things outside of rabbit hole job. I never did much with that career track in past game but I if I recall giving speeches was part of the requirements to advance.

I originally thought Uptown was one of the 4 playable neighbourhoods, but now I'm thinking it's the active career location.

I think it's a play on words and it's that suspended neighbourhood in the skyscrapers. Probably contains the most expensive penthouses and upscale establishments.

However, there may be a City Hall at ground level for the Politics career. That one might be visitable and have other city hall functions from the past.

I doubt they will make any more active careers. It was a big part of GTW. Would you need GTW to make it active? Not everyone has all the packs. If they did add it as an active career without GTW that would make that EP kind of pointless to get unless you like the other careers.

I'm hoping not!

Hmm. There are no choice of different tracks in the current active careers.

Doesn't mean they can't, though. Zerbu's Turbo Careers mod adds active gameplay to the base game careers, and they still have branches.

But honestly, I don't know what would be fun about going to an office to post on social media all day, or signing bills in the White House or whatever. They're much better off being "disappear for a day" careers with some promotion requirements that encourage you to go to a community lot.
