- Multiplayer might be fun but a lot of people would hate it but the sims 4 is mostly almost online at this point with the gallery.
If they do Multiplayer in the future they must have a turn off and turn on for it. - I wouldn't mind if it was optional. Looks like everyone is jumping on the multi-player bandwagon. Stardew Valley multiplayer Mode is now in beta testing.
- I actually wouldn’t mind some multiplayer functionality. I would still want the option to play in my own world, but it could be fun to collaborate on builds, have two players control sims in the neighbourhood simultaneously, or at least be able to visit your friends’ sims and so on. I would enjoy that. But it seems Sims players in general hate the idea so... I don’t think it’ll ever be a thing
- Not interested in online or stardew Valley. I play the sims and I want my creativity back - can't have that online. I want neighborhood editing and town editing - not just on lots like we always had in Sims 1,2, and 3 (this game is why we cannot edit off lot as it is)- they don't even allow making your own houses and sims in Sims online - so absolutely not. If I wanted online play I'd not have hated Sims Online or porting to others games in showtime. I don't like real time game play or online use of having to have real money to play and constant monthly access payments on top of everything else. I like to pay for actual packs - no packs in online. But kids do love it. If you like playing with all the teen they will chat away - as online is not needed in a game with no quests and does not accept you having any help from people you are online with. It is limited simming in real time with chat -.If I want to chat - I can do that already through Origin chat - no point and very annoying. Been there - done that. Chatting is good in forums - not so good online unless you are dating or in school and have things in common, for a game without quests to be met and who wants quests in the Sims series in normal neighborhoods?

I quite like how its done in Animal Crossing. You send a friend request and are able to have access to that friend's inventory which has items for sale. You can then purchase items you might need to complete a task. You don't even have to visit that friend's town unless you really want to."simgirl1010;c-16464988" wrote:

I won't ever download those kind of games anyway anymore, never mind buy any if they have a price tag on them. I have been gaming for a very long time - and played many online full games in the last 25 or so years and all I get is annoyed. Many of them the online game was very different then the Single player campaign so you could not carry over what you had accomplished to a single player game as nothing at all was the same. I quickly tire of answering who I am, where I am from, how long have I been playing, and most of all - where do you find this or that armour or weapon sets? Constantly day in and day out. Don't even get me started on hackers... online multiplayer is just plain bad."Writin_Reg;c-16465001" wrote:

It isn’t as simple as that and multiplayer can actually make a game better if it is done right. But multiplayer is alas most often targeted at very young players who just wants friends they can talk to and some multiplayer games even offer ways to find friends who live near you. This is the worst way of doing it.
I was never interested in the Sims Online for that reason and because it required a paid subscription of $9.99 each month and I wasn’t interested in the Sims Social either.
But multiplayer actually makes some games better. Examples are Airport City and Township where other players can help you with things you need. You don’t need to talk to those other players and the game just shows what they need and to them what things you would like them to help you with. This is a nice improvement to the games if it is done right.
But of course I like you also fear that EA will make a multiplayer version of the Sims too social because the Sims games are targeted mainly at very young simmers. I don’t think that their is any chance that multiplayer will be added to TS4 though because EA almost certainly wants to reserve that for TS5 and later games so those games more easily can become different from TS4. But we can hardly avoid multiplayer also in the main games much longer anyway.- EA Land did not require the subscription and was even free to play. It lasted 6 weeks. It was actually the best of the Sims online games and people did not like it. The most players Sims online had was 2000 - not acceptable at all by EA standards whose multi-players are in the millions.
Regardless - I don't care to play that kind of sims game. I tried all 4 - did not like them at all - never mind never seeing hardly anyone else moving around in the game. The sims online is nothing like the regular sims. Nothing at all.
Look at it this way - until they can make a game exactly like Sims 3 where I have full creativity and my choice of worlds and sims and all life stages and I can play 300 characters if I so choose - and make that multiplayer with out that horrid porting (like Showtime had) - then I am not interested. Sims online with nothing to do but skill, online pay for every thing, no creativity, no designs of my own, no emergency cheats if needed - and no full control of my game - then they can forget it. It is not a game I want to play. Look at this game I hated it until all life stages were in the game - I still am not happy there is no transportation or my fav supernaturals still do not exist. But it has some fun moments - none of which I want to play with others during the fun - but give us the freedom to have a full fledged sims game like sims 3 open world and all, and all the choices and creativity in that game - I might listen - until then - NOT interested. There are many ways to do it and this can also be seen in the Sims games for mobile devices even though I know that you haven’t tried those games.
Online games are okay for me - but social online games aren’t. I mainly want to just play my own game."Erpe;c-16465073" wrote:

I don't waste my time on dinky telephone games. I run a super computer -with a big wide screen - I thought gameboys were ridiculous as well- my kids had tons of those games, and their kids now like the mobile games- Not my thing at all. Oh and I have 20-20 vision so not a problem looking at them - I just see no point - never mind none of the kind of control I like. Heck I won't even use a laptop - if that tells you anything. I ran my desktop in a camper for two summers - and there were 2 laptops in the camper - brand new, even 1 gaming laptop - not interested. I like desktops I create myself with my components of choice. I am as choosy about the games I play. I don't want a game with the name Sims on it that does not offer what the Sims usually has. Online can just not do that.
I realize some people do like other games like mobile etc - I am just not a fan of spending my game time with other players or on a portable device. I have a big comffie overstuffed office chair on wheels and a nice big desk - that is my comfort zone - so is playing quietly by myself. LOL. MY hubby is very much an online player - so are many in my family. I am not interested. I love creativity too much to really be interested in those kind of scripted games. I have played many kind of games believe me - and now I just play games I enjoy period.
