Not Sleeping Through the Night

I find that, in general, any Sims that have jobs adjust their wake up time to about two hours before they have to go to work.
But I do have Sims who have a tendency to wake up so ridiculously early that I often send them to bed again.
I've never encountered Sims waking up several times in a single night though (except a toddler with nightmares).

This happens in my games if there's a stereo or speaker left on nearby, this might be the cause for your insomniac sim too.

Well this could be it....I will have to check that they turn off the TV in the living room before going to bed.

If you are playing in that $13,000 starter home in Oasis Springs, there is no bedroom door. They will wake up every time if the TV , stereo, or if a friend is playing an instrument. If there is a bedroom door, my sim don't wake up as long as a radio or TV is not in the bedroom.

If they live in an open floor plan house where the bathroom is the only thing with a door, they will wake up also.

I try to remember to turn off everything before they go to bed :p

They'll still wake up if you left the stereo on though

Mine only did this when they had earbuds in their inventory. I play rotationally and every time I switch households I have to sell their earbuds agin. The game keeps putting them back.

Well this is still an issue even with making sure the TV and sterio are off and none of them have earbuds. Not sure what else to do other break down and consider a mod....

Is it a gallery house, premade lot or one you built? If it's a pre-furnished gallery house or premade lot, there may be a wall speaker or other music device lying around somewhere nearby. If you can't find one, clear all the furniture and decorations out of the room (except the bed) and stash them in your inventory temporarily and see if that helps. You can also try to give the sim a more comfortable bed. You shouldn't have to mod your game, there's something going on that should be fixable. Another thought, do you have any cc that might be outdated?

If you can't track down the issue the other thought is, if the game is a new one you've started recently, save the sim to your library and then drop him/her into a brand new save game and see if that clears the issue for you.

What kind of bed are you using? I like to give my sims the more high end beds on top of upgrading them and they usually wake up throughout the night.
