- It's a mod problem - I had that until I updated my UI Cheats Extension mod.
- janyses7 years agoSeasoned AceAlways remember to delete the localthumbcache.package file when removing or adding mods. Otherwise, you might not see any differences.
- bshag4lv7 years agoSeasoned AceI ran a vanilla game, took my mods folder completely out and I still couldn't get my freelance artist to submit her work, same with the writer's branch, no options to submit to the client. I clicked on everything I could have and still nothing. So I don't think it's a mod problem, personally. I just don't use freelance careers at all...it's a shame, seemed like another way for parents to stay at home and work.

I'm currently playing a couple of freelancers (one painting, one programming) and have had no issues with either; maybe a game repair would help? Also make sure to remove the localthumbcache when installing or removing any mods."stilljustme2;c-17089699" wrote:

I haven't had any bugs at all with the freelancer careers, either (and I've played them a lot). The only complaint I have is that the time frame for programming that requires a Sim to make a game is a bit short - it takes so long to finish the game, they really can't do anything else (like help kids with homework or teach their toddlers) or they miss the deadline.- Since the career is rather new, it wouldn’t be uncommon for there to be bugs. However, I think you should definitely check your mods.
- Not having any issues so far. Freelancing is my favorite career path so far!
- Anmirla7 years agoSeasoned AceI've never seen inviting director and co-stars over as an assignment for the freelance careers. Writers, artists and programmers don't have directors and co-stars. However, I have seen that in the acting career and it didn't work for me.
The freelance careers worked just fine for me. - djsboonie7 years agoSeasoned Ace

For the freelance painting you need to go in to your sims inventory & check the paintings there for the type of painting you had to do for the gig. When you find it click on it and you should see an option to submit to client for approval. NOTE: the game seems to like putting the freelancer paintings with normal ones, so if you see a regular painting that shows multiple copies open the stack & it may be there.
I think the freelance writing works the same way, you need to go in to your sims inventory to find & submit the book. - bshag4lv7 years agoSeasoned AceThanks for all the responses. I've done everything as suggested and no change. I will take Starfree's suggestion and check the inventory, but I've had major problems since Seasons or C&D, whichever pack it was they took out some of the debug interactions and now there are certain mods that will not work after this pack, even the mod from TwistiMex doesn't work.
If everyone's career works, obviously it's my computer. *sigh*
I really appreciate the suggestions from everyone. <3
