- HermitgirlNew SpectatorAt those who add the teens to families @EnkiSchmidt and @pixiejuice.
How do you get them back to their real families with the least play disruption? Do you have to go to managed worlds or do you use homeless teens? I like this option but I'd want to not have to exit the home later to make things right.
I have played with live-in staff before and have pretended one was an Au pair. Just wondering what I'm missing. I'm using cheats more and more and if it's simple I might go for it. "Hermitgirl;c-15933477" wrote:

I wish there was a cheat or mod to send a sim back to another family without loading their house, but I don't know of one. I just use manage worlds to put them back when I'm done. It only takes a few seconds.
If you don't want to mess around with sims changing households, you can take your toddler to their grandparent/babysitter's house instead, and the game won't try to send them to daycare if they're away from home when the parent leaves for work. Make sure the house is set up properly for toddlers first. The non-active sims will usually try to care for the toddler anyway, at least as well as the nanny does. You might have to have the toddler ask for things if needed. I blogged about that method here.- You can hire a Nanny, or send your toddler sim to DayCare, but my toddler always comes back unhappy :( makes me wonder what there doing to my poor baby! :D
- HermitgirlNew Spectator@pixiejuice.. Thanks a lot the blog was informative. I don't usually have grandparents in the game. I'm not patient enough for that but trying the friend/neighbor method sounds good. I've had baby daddy types that have invited the toddlers over alone to spend time with them but I didn't think of doing it from the other angle. Great :).
- Goth583New TravelerI wish they would change the script to say the parent has picked them up from day care, at least it would look a little better.
- GalacticGalSeasoned AceThe other option you could use, is to create a Nanny and place her in your household. That way you can play both the Nanny and the toddler! Toddler can ask for what they need and Nanny can cook food. I used to do this in both Sims2 & 3.
- KarilanNew SpectatorIt can be pretty entertaining to play as the toddler and either watch the frustration as the nanny does NOTHING to help you, or cause mayhem as the toddler and give the nanny a run for her money! >:)

Same here, using Houshold Management. I move sims around a lot.
But sending the little ones over to their sitter's households sounds like fun, too. I'll try that next time :)- > @pixiejuice said: »

Does this still work, or is the a bug that has since been "fixed"? If I try it, the sim from the active household simply won't leave. She'll get the "go to work" in her queue, and then a call from her boss when she's late, but just won't go to work. - burnished_dragonNew Spectator

I had the parent go to work and I would end up back at the played sims home with the toddler off to day or if anyone was home then they would stay home.
