I don't know why the aspirations and jobs have so much trouble tracking numbers. Anyway, my Sim recently threw a house party AND a dinner party. He received silver on both, which counted towards his aspiration goal of 3 silver events. HOWEVER he has to throw 5 parties in total, and that count is still at 0 even though he's completed 2 parties. Both parties were completed after the goal of have 5 parties popped up. This has been an issue with several aspiration counts for me. They just aren't totaling correctly.

I'm on Throw 5 Parties and Earn Silver on 3 Social Events. I don't know how to get the picture, I just tried print screen and paste to paint, but it didn't work. It counted the parties for social events with silver, but not for a party. I can keep count myself and use the cheat after I've completed 5 parties to progress. I'll see what happens after party 3 since he now has his 3 silver social events (had a date too).

I didn't use cheats. What I was saying is that if it won't count them, I can cheat to force the progression after I have my 5 parties. That is what I had to do when my child aspirations were not counting things I had accomplished (like have X friends).EDITI shouldn't have to cheat though, the game should count things as complete once done. I know I'm not the only one having this issue with aspirations and jobs not counting things.

Yes. I think it may be a double dip thing. The game isn't letting the party be both a party and a social event?! I'm not sure. I'm going to go throw a 3rd party and see what happens.

Is the sim you're trying to get the aspiration with actually hosting these parties? If not, they won't count.

You need to do 25 more NEW social events.

Start a date in your house then end it (click on the timer). Set the date again. Do it 25 times. Easy peasy.
I mean... You didn't really plan to wait for all 25 dates to end "naturally"?! Or to pay for 25... Weddings?! That's 25K simoleons!!!
Man... You'd never finish it! ;)

Party animal is one of easiest aspirations.

On the other hand, some players hate aspirations. Dunno why but they don't know what they're missing. To me figuring them out is one of really fun parts of the game.
