Thanks for doing these! When the embargo lifts I’m really curious to hear about how the new activities/ and skills will work with ones from older packs:
- Can you build the new entomology skill by collecting insects (Outdoor Retreat) or using the insect home (Eco Lifestyle)?
- Does the jumping platform (Get Together) build the new diving skill?
- Does panning for crystals build the Gemology Skill (Crystal Creations)?
- Are the new retro games consoles cross-compatible/ have the same game options as the ones from City Living?
- Are the free weights from Lovestruck also able to be used functionally?
NEW SKILLS (WIP)
There are 4 new skills in this pack, with a mix of 5 and 10 levels.
🏹Archery (5 level skill)
🏊Diving
The Diving Skill refers to diving from surfaces, not scuba diving. It can be can be learned from both high and low Diving Boards found in this pack, plus the medium height Jump Platforms from Get Together. You can also dive from ladders/docks into the water (available in this pack and Island Living), but these don't give any skill XP.
🦋Entomology (5 level skill)
Entomology is the study of insects. You can gain XP through raising caterpillars, catching butterflies & moths (and OR insects?), breeding butterflies & moths and through studying butterflies in the Atrium (?). The skill also has cross-pack functionality with Beekeeping (Seasons) and Bug Farming (Eco Lifestyle), allowing you to also gain skill when tending to their homes and collecting from them.
In playing with it for longer I think it might also speed up dealing with bugs on plants when gardening, and make it easier to clean flies/roaches from bins with Eco Lifestyle - this is just how it feels after playing for a while. I still need to test Outdoor Retreat Insect collecting and City Living/For Rent insect pests.
L1: Raise an Unknown Caterpillar in an Incubator.
L2: More varieties of Butterfly/Moth when Raising Unknown Caterpillars.
L3: Raise Common Caterpillar varieties. Unknown Caterpillars have a chance to be Uncommon.
L4: Raise Uncommon Caterpillar varieties. Unknown Caterpillars have a chance to be Rare.
L5. Raise Rare Caterpillar varieties.

City Living - Original x Retro Gaming Console?
They are different and only one can be connected to each TV at a time (the first one placed will connect). The Retro Console only has the two games shown in the screenshots/trailers (a RAMPAGE clone called TANTRUM and a Pokémon-like Voidcritters game), unless others unlock with the Video Gaming Skill. Both can be played single or multi-player, but neither has online play options, which makes sense for a dated device). It is the cheapest console at only 300 Simoleons.
Eco Lifestyle - Bug Farm?
Compatible with the Entomology Skill.
Get Together - Jumping Platform?
Compatible with the Diving Skill.
Island Living/Adventure Awaits - Water Vehicle Docks & Open Water Ladders?
You can use all both in both worlds on Waterfront Lots, but neither gives Diving Skill when diving off of docks.
Lovestuck - Free Weights?
Just décor still, sorry.
Seasons - Bee Box?
Compatible with the Entomology Skill.
Systems
Basegame/Pack - Events on Getaways?
Not completely sure. I think you can, but only the un-goaled version. I planned a MWS Wedding Event at the Von Haunt Estate in testing. Though I was allowed to set the Traditions, once the event started it removed them and ran as an un-goaled event.
Seasons - Holidays during Getways?
Not sure on this one. They seem to start and run fine if you are currently on a Getaway. Starting a new Getaway will end them early though, at least in the once case I've had this happen so far.
