I can’t get Clement Frost to appear. Father Winter is just some randomly-generated townie, no matter how many times I reload or delete the imposters.Clement Frost was in Manage Households, but he wouldn’t appear. I tried deleting him from Manage Households (in case he was glitched somehow), but he didn’t reappear (which I’ve heard should happen).In another save, Clement Frost appeared as expected. This was on a community lot with no fireplace. In the save that has this problem, the active household is at home and has a fireplace.Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?(I did post this on AHQ, but I don’t know how much traffic that site gets, and unfortunately we don’t have a bug report forum anymore.)

Do you have MCCC installed? Unless you flag Father Frost to not get married, have kids, etc., the mod will treat him the same as any other townie.

It`s not just MCCC, the game in some saves randomly changes Sims jobs. The random job changes, i have seen it since Cats and Dogs expansion. Have not had my currant PC 3 weeks yet and it in my first game after downloading Sims 4 Clement Frost was not Farther Winter, he was replaced with an another male elder, most the townie Sims where unemployed as well. Had to start again with a brand new folder due to a gardening glitch. In next game he has been Farther Winter for 8 years so far. I have never used mods or cc on this PC.

@foxx_fennec The winter I went through to date included him showing up at the door even though they had no fireplace (but their business did), and after they all greeted him he went into the house to where the Christmas tree was and added a pile of gifts (or rather replaced the one that they had already opened... And they could each click on him and ask him for a present.

This just happened to me as well. I already got the original Father Winter in my game, but now all of a sudden the game generated a new Father Winter with a completely random name and look. I looked through the townies in manage households and Clement Frost (Father Winter) is gone :worried: Ugh I just wish The Sims 4 had real static npc's instead.

Clement Frost married Dina Caliente in the new save I've been messing around with. Now I get a random as well.

Do you have MCCC installed? Unless you flag Father Frost to not get married, have kids, etc., the mod will treat him the same as any other townie.

Yes, but I currently have random marriages and pregnancies turned off.

I don’t think it’s because of MCCC. This didn’t happen in another save where I’m using all the same mods.

Someone on AHQ said that Father Winter is replaced by someone random after each year, so I’m thinking this is by poor design rather than a bug. No idea why he didn’t show up the first time, though.

I had one Christmas so far with a family. I had them do all of the other things except the Father Christmas, as they did not have a fireplace. However, he did turn up around 2am (ish) at the front door. (They have businesses with fireplaces... does that count? Anyway, I had one of the sims give him a gift and he hung out with her for hours and didn't seem to have any interest in leaving. Seemed a bit creepy. Anyway, did you wait through the night to see if he appeared at the door (or anywhere at the home with the fireplace)?

He didn’t appear at any point, but the other Father Winter at least gave gifts.
