No. My sister has been lactose and tolerant her entire life. She's excited to play this and so am I. We are always asking for more individuality. More challenge. More struggle. And when they try to give it to us we beg for it to be nerfed. Like no. Stop.
Now I do agree we need more trait slots. I'm using a mod by the pancake1 free on patreon for more trait slots. And there is another modder, Vicky I think he's called, who offers even more trait slots but I didn't need that many.
We should have this official. And it is odd for this to be a "trait" but I still love the idea of added challenge. No more nerfing some of my favorite features were nerfed and I'm still sour about it?♀️?♀️?♀️
This. I‘m so tired of people asking everything that isn‘t bubblegum pop to be removed from the game. No wonder the game plums with a community like this. Can‘t have vampire break ins, can‘t have alien pregnancies, can‘t have murphy bed deaths, can‘t have bowing at a shrine, can‘t have lactose intolerance,…
Edit: I have 26182 allergies myself. I definitely wouldn‘t cry like a baby if they added cat allergy to the game.
I disagree. As someone who has allergies as well as disabilities, I would like my sims to NOT suffer from the allergies I have, as well as allergies I don’t have. It would make my sims game awful. I choose to play “The Sims 4” as an escape to my problems, with the sims as my puppets and I get to choose how to play with my sims. I don’t play the game to be too realistic to the point it’s NOT enjoyable. I don’t want my sims to die from food allergies. That would ruin the fun of the game to me.
No one is forcing you to use the trait. There is a huge problem in the community where people think just because they don‘t like something it has to be removed from the game. How far are we going to take this? I can already picture a Sims 5 without deaths, ghosts, runaway pets and bills because it triggers some people.
I cant help but wonder if there's like some outside force that is literally forcing someone to perform gameplay that they do not enjoy doing. Im just very curious.
I think some people just take the game way too seriously. There's stuff in the game I dont like (not much but its there) but I dont see any need to go on a crusade to get it removed, especially if such gameplay is ridiculously minuscule and isnt really in your face demanding attention. I go on with my life and
just not use it. I hate bees in real life and am allergic to their stings, do I care that there are bees in the game? No, because its a game and life's too short to fuss over little things like that. Whenever my sim encounters bees, I certainly dont think "how can I get bees completely removed from the game..." Im gonna be bursting some bubbles here, but the game aint gonna revolve around your particular needs. Its not really fair to try to get some gameplay entirely removed just to fit YOUR criteria. Especially when its some poop that nobody really cares about! I know some folks like to think that they do get to ultimately decide what the community gets or doesnt get, and I dont know where you got that idea from, but you dont. Honey you dont.
I get that people have dietary issues and have their opinions on how it should be represented, but why do we always gotta jump to "well that feature's gotta go" (Especially if you have folks that are literally saying "wait a minute Im fine with this stop speaking for me this is why we get nothing in the game"). We aint even gonna try to come up with a happy medium? That aint even on the table? I agree with having a trait slot that addresses a sim's own dietary needs. It's gotta come with a food oriented pack, but I like the idea of it. Heck if its something that adds more personality to sims, Im down. But can we please quit with the "oh I dont like this feature, its gotta go right now"? Save it for when the sims team does something truly asinine and ignorant.
