I made my sim self-employed. I then started to notice that random sims are just coming in my house univited! I would have my sims out doing something around the island. I would then go to her home to select whatever for her to do at home and there would be a stranger in the house on the computer. I would then direct my sim to ask said sim to leave! They don't walk out the front door they just disappear as if they were out in the town and you direct them to go home, they would walk a distance and disappear.Has anyone else had this issue? Or is that what's suppose to happen when self-employed?I had to lock the front door but that creates other issues when family or friends come over. Sometimes I don't see them and even when I do, I'll unlock door to try to invite in or invite to hang out at current lot and the option does not show in the pie menu.I don't use mods or CC!

Does your Sim live in Sulani? Because then it's not related to their job, it's an island feature - happens mostly in Ohan Ali Town if I'm correct. Otherwise, you may try using the private dwelling lot trait. Sims won't show up uninvited if you use that.

@MDianaSims Yes it is Sulani! However before making her self-employed everyone knocked on the door! But thanks for the insight about the town!

@Sindocat from what @MDianaSims stated it's the culture of the island. So I did what she suggested by adding the lot trait private dwelling. I think I would've been annoyed had sims been coming on my lanai using items, not knowing about the culture aspect! I've been playing sims for 20 years and I still learn something new everyday. Also I just started playing a family in the Island Living world, although I've had it for quite some time now!Thank you both!

There is no option to ask them to leave when they barge in uninvited, also they completely ignore the locked doors, i wouldnt go as far as calling it a feature more like unfixed bugs.

Does your Sim live in Sulani? Because then it's not related to their job, it's an island feature - happens mostly in Ohan Ali Town if I'm correct.

Otherwise, you may try using the private dwelling lot trait. Sims won't show up uninvited if you use that.

@izecson I do get the option to Ask To Leave when I click on the uninvited sims

If you aren’t able to get a sim to leave your house just travel with them to another lot and then go home without them. It’s a pain but it works.

It definitely happens in other worlds as well. I constantly have random sims basically moving into my homes uninvited with no option to ask them to leave. I feel like this has become a major issue since the patches with university. These sims act like they are roommates without actually being roommates. The only solution seems to be keeping doors locked for everyone but household members.

@A_Mom That's a great idea. I hadn't tried that before, but will definitely use it if needed!

If you have MCCC you can also click on the sim, then go to MC Cheats and make them leave. They will go immediately.

In my game, on Sulani. It seems that people don't walk in randomly until after the welcome wagon. The other posters are correct it is an Island trait. It happened all the time when I lived in Hawaii. I do find that in other worlds I frequently get children at the door, they won't come in until I greet them, and like everyone else, they will stay at the door and not go away for hours. It seems a little weird to me to invite kids in without their parents unless they are family. In the other worlds I don't have young adults/adults/elders come IN the house unless I greet them either. Unless I gave them a key of course. It doesn't happen as frequently as on the island. Did the private dwelling setting work for you?

@joRN1414 Yes the private dwelling did work for me. Such a relief to because that was going to drive me nuts.
