but if your sims have a great enough skill, you can sell them at home right off the easel for some really good prices.
you can mark up prices when you sell them off the portable gallery, you will never get as much from just selling them off the easel.
@ op, i sell them from my sim's front yard, you have to initiate a yard sale first iirc. just make sure to lock your sim's front door, otherwise the yard sale goers will make themselves at home.- AaronRulz78Seasoned Newcomerugh. So I got the portable art holder thing, went to the Arts Quarter to do a street sale. ALOT of sims came up to MY sim to talk to him but not ONE painting was sold. I had to restart the street sale three times and still nothing. Markup is 100%. Am I doing something wrong?

blah. Thanks @rosemow . Of course, it's a bug. When I sell to the collector they don't purchase the painting for more than it's worth. Should I just build a small art gallery as a retail store and sell my paintings there?
You’re welcome .
It is a good idea to build an art gallery, have your sim buy it as a store, and sell your paintings there.- You can also sell your paintings at the Romance Festival if you have City Living installed, as well as in the Art district sometimes, there is a little area that pops up and you can place your paintings there for sale in the square.

This happened to me too. I couldn't ever sell anything, so I just sold the stand/peg board/whatever it's called and sell them from the easel. =/- Don't sale your paintings at the art center location because all the sims seem to be interested in is going to check out all the other paintings and really no reason to stay in the street area, except for the only festival there, which is not idea to saling panting as the festival is a joke and prank festival.
Edit best place is at the spice festival, flea market, geekcon and love festival. - AaronRulz78Seasoned Newcomerblah. Thanks @rosemow . Of course, it's a bug.
