All sims games are full of secrets. This is either content that is rarely seen in the game, or content that is in the game files, but was cut from the final product but still lingers there.
Here is a cool secret I found when switching to a random child NPC
This child clearly has a different aspiration that is not available in CAS. This aspiration is linked to karaoke so probably came from city living. Not sure how complete it is I could do some testing. The aspiration is called karaoke soul and the description is: The karaoke soul sing sweet karaoke to enchant sweet little audiences, and big ones too.
It seems to have unique goals to fulfill such as seen in the shot (practice singing for 2 hours straight and discuss vocals with 10 sims)
Anyway has anyone else found any secrets in the sims 4 or its packs.

Oh gosh, yes. I agree with this one hundred percent. I sometimes find myself wanting to change townie traits that were already generated in game but then I realise there's really no point considering I'd just be creating a clone of every other Sim I've ever made. I'd love to get a nice new selection of traits and aspirations as we did in the Sims 3 (even with stuff packs, I believe). I guess we'll just have to wait and see what comes along in the new packs in the future but I'd certainly not complain if we actually got at least one or two new traits.

Now that I know of two cases where a hidden aspiration just happened, I think I'll try adding some townies to my household to hunt for more. Maybe I can build an information databank for hidden aspirations out of this?

@mintycupcake Especially aspirations. There is still quite a bit of variance within the traits, but none of the aspirations really feel that interesting. Having a family, being good at fishing, becoming the master of mixing, those all sound nice but not very amazing. And let's be honest here: Karaoke Soul? Alien Ambassador? Those are some pretty cool things, right? I'd love to have such Sims in my game! (the latter sounds perfect for my scientist Sim actually)
I guess it kind of depends on how you play your game (and how many packs you have). I pretty much never use the negative traits, such as insane, evil, or kleptomaniac. And there's a lot that just don't fit in with my sort of game play, such as ambitious, perfectionist, or dance machine. So that really limits what's left. Maybe it would seem like we weren't making the same sims all the time if it went back to 5 traits like they had in 3? And I've mentioned this before, but I was just brushed off because "you can already do this", but I'd like to be able to have multiple goals without having to switch back and forth. I would forget to switch back or else maybe I want to work at two goals at the same time (ie exercise and listen to music at the same time and have it count towards both "listen to music for x hours" and "workout for x hours".)
Just wanting to say that I checked all aspiration tuning files and I found nothing related to karaoke or aliens. I'm not saying that these aspirations can't exist at all, that would be cool if they do. But if they exist, they must be attached to a specific patch. It would be interesting to know the exact patch where these aspirations are visible, as well as what packs are installed. It they appear in your game, I'd like to check the files if you send me the XMLs. If you do, please specify your patch and all your installed packs. I can explain how to extract and upload them if necessary, it isn't complicated.
I'm another on who would like more aspirations. The only athletic one is bodybuilder!!! Really? I think Sims3 did a good job with the lifetime wishes, although there were a lot I never used.
@peterskywalker
You might be interested in this discussion where we talked about hidden traits. They include the ordinary ones like left/right handed and likes fruitcake, ones that let sims do something like visit Sylvan Glade, ones that make an npc do a certain job like forest ranger or pizza delivery, and there are a few surprises like gender preference.
I was just thinking the other day how in the other iterations of the sims there were way many more options for aspirations and traits :( I miss the variety available
By the way, I've finally managed to find the Alien Ambassador thing again! And... it's actually called "Space Dweller". No wonder I couldn't find it... *head->table*

There, the finder added one note in particular that's interesting: "I do wish that this had appeared for an adult because I don't think a child could have done them all without a pause in development. On top of it, I couldn't just exit without losing it."
And here is someone on these forums who also found it in March 2017: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/comment/15600147/#Comment_15600147 @RoseElement
Seems to show up only on children.
Okay, NOW I've got a basis to work from. I'll try recreating the scenario of the first person as it's pretty well-documented. Let's see if that does anything. Although my screenshots would be in German then. I'll translate those as best as I can.
Here is all information I could get about it from the screenshots alone. This is an interesting topic and I've got nothing better to do, so let's see...
- Name: Space Dweller - Symbol: Alien head from e.g. the mind erasing moodlet, but golden like the other aspirations - Availability: Apparently only children - Seems to disappear if game is closed, so this might be something like a "code echo" (or whatever a last bit of unused code still sits somewhere and does its thing)
(as much as I could read, the resolution is kind of horrible) - Stage 1: "The World is Not Flat" - Observe the Skies with the Telescope for 2 Hours Straight - Babble about Aliens to 10 Sims
- Stage 2 or 3: "Extraterrestrial Fan" - I honestly can't read that. It's in the second screenshot by the way. If any of you can read it, please let me now.
- Stage 4: "Space Dweller" - (something else) - Perform 20 Social Interactions with (something) Aliens - Perform 20 Funny Interaction with an Alien (something) (something)
Completion text: "(Sim name) has made peace with the aliens and brought harmony to the world, at least within his area. Let's celebrate!"
It sounds a lot like some aspiration that was planned and almost done, then got scrapped for whatever reason. But it's apparently completable.
