#SimsRevolution on Twitter - your thoughts

What do you think about Sims Revolution on Twitter and the hundreds of accounts dedicated to objects/improvements from previous The Sims games? Do you think that after Bonehielda, EA will add another things as: vibromatic bed, heart-shape hot tub, Abnes ect?

https://twitter.com/sims_counter
https://twitter.com/AgnesCrumple_
https://twitter.com/simavrillavigne
https://twitter.com/JonySimmer
https://twitter.com/memories_sims

ect.

What is your opinion?
  • I do not Twitter. I only Facebook for my family.

    *thinks*

I might spend more time here than on Facebook...

I cordially invite Twitter to woohoo itself with a pinecone.

I find this pretty funny and hilarious how people have so much time on hand to devote it to such flashmobs.

It's always a good thing to have a check occasionally to see who you could block or mute to save yourself any further toxic tweets!

I expect you have a job to keep you busy but a lot of people only have the internet to keep in touch when they have to self-isolate in tiny apartments without a job and some of the best Twitter Simmers have some good tips, mods and builds to share.

I think having a positive experience of twitter is very much dependent on filtering out stuff that is simply toxic or boring (and also not being worried about how many followers you have!).
The #simsrevolution hashtag has been a trip into nostalgia for me, and at other times hilarious. Overall I would say that it has been positive, with the caveat that there are always some who seek to exploit any situation to spew bile.
I hope the powers that be at EA do pay attention. There are times when it seems developers lose track of what is actually important to people, when they get caught up in the tricky process of making something new, shiny and actually possible to do (and sell at a profit to an audience who maybe don't have the pc beasts that can run complex games)
My great fear is that sims 5 ends up as a smartphone app. Up the revolution!

At first I thought it was a fun idea, but when I looked into it a bit I didn't really like the attitudes. Seems like the baseline is that the old games are gold and TS4 is rubbish. Sorry maybe that's not all of the revolutioners, but it's something that I've seen.

That's pretty much 90% of sims twitter. They're very much a one trick pony, they don't have much else to say other than "Sims 4 bad Sims 2 good!". You won't see them say anything else and if someone does say Sims 4 is better for ---- reason they will be attacked and called an EA apologist. ?

I've been giving twitter a go lately. Just want to share sim pics and see people get creative. My own timeline is looking pretty good, but it's impossible to totally avoid the divide.
