Strangerville Cheat

The only cheat for Strangerville that I can remember right now is the aspiration one.

There is. I just don't know if you need TwistedMexi's all cheats mod for it. I know I needed it to properly reset the mystery, so chances are, you'll need it to skip it as well.

Yes, you need the TwistedMexi mod, but you can remove it once you've used the cheat.

You cannot edit this lot, not even with the cheat to edit other special lots like the magic realm or sylvan glade. I guess it is to make sure no one completely breaks the strangerville story.

I've tried to kill off the Motherplant 6 times with a team of sims that had the vacines but the Motherplant still didn't die. I only play vanilla, never mods so I would like to know how to finally kill the Motherplant, please?

The "All Cheats mod" clears the story, but it takes another to do anything wtih the lot. TwistedMexi also has another mod that changes the category of the lot to residential so that it can be modified. You will have to clear the story before having any Sims live there, however. I didn't once, and it was a mess.

It works, but I have found issues, and that's all due to the way the lot is treated in the game as unusable. It's still really buggy, because it's not intended to be modified. Stairs are bugged, and once I got the REDACTED lab open in Build/Buy, I found the stairs often had to be redone because they were blocked off. Secondly, the aforementioned issue of triggers. I heavily modified the lot, including deleting the Mother Plant and most related objects to the storyline. Yet, my Sims still got hit by poison when they went downstairs. That's why I recommend clearing the storyline with the "All Cheats" mod first. Then, I noticed that if a household lived there, once Build/Buy was brought up, it was bugged. It would show both the emblems for household and business funds; and secondly, a zero balance. Meaning you'd have to modify it in world mode while playing a different household. Thirdly, my Sim once visited the household; and he could not enter the household. I have no idea why that's so.



The game needs to be patched to allow free modification of this lot without any kind of mod. It's a sandbox-type game--we should be allowed to do what we want. If you want a fixed storyline--go back to making spinoffs.

Have killed it 3 times so far just using the full team of sims and the water guns they have. Never tried vaccine throwing, just the relentless hosing down.

Bienchen has a mod that will get rid of the effects in Strangerville without having to solve the mystery. With that installed, all you do is visit the SV library and "Search the Strangerville Archive". https://deichschafblog.de/bienchen/strangerville-strangerville/ Not sure you can reverse it once you search the archive.

Killing the Mother once was enough for me. Don't need the garbage I get in the mail either.

I thought all you had to do to avoid the "drama" of the Strangerville situation was to not engage the other Sims by asking them about Strangerville. I could be wrong. But then again, I've only had Sims live in that world when I intended to play out the scenario, which I have done, twice, now. The only other times I've had my Sims visit was when I decided my Global Superstar would host a Meet & Greet at the bar there. :open_mouth:
