It's understandable :) Until a recent patch, we couldn't save a teen-only household in CAS in *this* game. Now we can, so the whole getting-a-teen-only-household thing is a *lot* easier now, and lets us do more.

I'm really happy about this - I've always liked the challenge of playing a teen household, within other game limitations, like part-time-jobs-only while going to school.

I did have testingsheats true and cas.fulleditmode on set, so don't know whether it would work without them, but adds another little addition to what we can do fairly easily.

You know they are basicly adults but with diffrent names

Thank you. I am sure this wasn't possible before. I had not played the game from about Feb until a couple of weeks ago.

I remember discussion about how to kill the adult with as little pain as possible type stuff to make it work..lol

..and one less trait and career limits. I like to think with more than just the visual :)

Teens weren't in Sims 1. If you mean child, I don't think they could live alone since they weren't in CAS, they had to be born ingame.

Personally, I don't like this feature. As if teens weren't identical to Adults as it is. Now they can have their own place? They're basically young adults. There is no teen stage IMO.

The game wont create teen-only households so it wont hurt your immersion at all. If anything this option allows those who want to play alternate stories out they can do that.

We shouldn't be accepting the restrictions on teens in a desperate scramble to differentiate them from adults. Instead we should be adding new features to them so they feel more like teens.

That is what differentiate them from adults though. The fact that they have limitation. Babies cant do what children do, children can't do what teens do, and teens can't do what adults do. Its one of the things that separate the stages from each other. <3

I think children could live alone in Sims 1 if all the adults on the lot died. I remember reading a story about a household consisting of three children. The biggest challenges were that they couldn't pay bills or cook. They dealt with bills by buying a bunch of random stuff and putting them out on the lawn for the repo man to possess when the bills were overdue. They made money from painting, ate snacks and fruitcakes from neighbors, and eventually saved up enough to buy a Servo to serve them free meals. :smile:

It was added in a fairly recent patch. It's in the patch notes somewhere, but yes it is a nice addition for doing the runaway teen stories.
