@CyrusTheLoser Yeah. "Hey, you know what? We're giving you the ability to choose a pack that could greatly enhance death and everything about it for the first ti-- wait, what are you doing? Are you seriously... oh god, you aren't voting for the LAUNDRY, ARE YOU!?!?"
I think some of the developers might have lost their faith in humanity there for a second :D- ck213Seasoned ScoutWants my University. :)
- ... You mean Sims 2 has just as good or better graphics (Sim design) as Sims 4? If things don't look as nice graphics wise, in my OWN opinion why go back to an older version for the same stuff but inferior looks to the game...?
But hey, if it works or would work for you, more power to ya!
The look of the game IS important to me so... Even if I had Sims 2 and I found/ find the look to the game and game play are somehow inferior, I'd find it hard to give up Sims 4 for it. But to each their own. - lol you knew well enough what you were buying. No refund!
- Can you blame EA?
When City Living was announced people were complaining that it was nothing like the previous Nightlife games. If you ask for the biggest requests its for games we've had before. People don't like change and will always gravitate to whats familiar because it worked well before. I haven't really had any issues with EA's changes like the redone EP's or the new way of selling SP's (which I don't understand why people have an issue with). Redoing content is really the safest option for them. "Pancakesandwich;15677616" wrote:

Yeah. I was genuinely surprised that won. Like holy hell the death pack sounded more intresting. But whatever, I wouldn't mind the rehashing if they turn out like the toddlers and Vampires. As long as they add something new, a different spin, or flesh out the gameplay more i'd be happy."MrMonty96;15673213" wrote:
That's nice, didn't really care but ok.
why commenting if you "really" don't care"Pancakesandwich;15677616" wrote:

Don't want to sound rude in reply to this because I'm not into forum wars, but you do recognize that different players have different interests? My sims never die in game because that's not how I play. I'm probably in the minority when I say that I actively avoid death in game. But I really like the sound of creating an eco-friendly sim who goes to Granite Falls, enjoys photography and maybe goes to protests...or whatever it might be that I come up with. I am happy that this theme won. Others play family centered saves and maybe laundry and housework sounds fun to them. I can see why you might be underwhelmed, but you shouldn't blame other players for lackluster content. I mean, this is the first time we even got to vote on a theme in sims 4. I don't think any decision in necessarily wrong, just different and suited to other tastes :|- ChampandGirlieNew SpectatorThis is an old game with a broad subject matter and a wide following that has joined and played at various stages overtime. It's going to be pretty much impossible to please everyone all of the time. It's not some RPG where they can just pick some new theme to direct players with. It starts over with each new version and it is up to the player to decide what they want and what they plan to do with it. Clearly, there is something timelessly appealing about it which is why it has lasted this long in various forms.
Many players do want those same concepts redone which is why they buy them. Personally, I've taken breaks over the years or joined into a new version of the game later on ... you know, when I felt like it. Any new version of the game is basically going to require them to do that again which is why they will probably wait a while before moving onto a next version.
The reality is that the demand is there for those concepts which is why they get released in new versions. There is plenty in TS4 that does feel new or different though. I know there was bowling before but I never played it. I also remember Veronaville but Windenburg still feels different and has its own complexities. San Myshuno is different than Bridgeport. Players did various things in older versions of the game. Sometimes they want to try something different and other times, they want to revamp an idea that they've played with before.
If you really love an old version of the game, then go ahead and play it. The agency is with the player in this game. I have fond memories of the older versions but that doesn't prevent me from enjoying this one. I'm not going to criticize them for a lack of new ideas when they aren't done releasing content and when there are many older aspects of the game that people want to see reincorporated.
If that isn't your cup of tea then it isn't. If there's something specific that you'd like to see, then suggest it. It's a new version of an old game with a long legacy, so yes, some concepts are going to carry forward. It's like complaining that a new version of a legacy car brand still has wheels.
