Weird NPCs spawning in my house!

Which house is this? I'm having something similar to mine, it is the house next to the volcano. Except they don't spawn there, but they walk right in and then vanish. Never seen anything like this before.

I think it’s a bug. I’m having this happen too.

There are two things here:

1. Ths spawning and behavior is a bug
2. The "weirdness " is because Island living don't allow normal townies even if they already exist. It generates new Islander townies for all needed roles including welcome wagons and litterbugs and conservationists..

It is the house where Ngata and family lives. That particular NPC spawned right inside my living room 2x and I had to tell him to leave and he walked right inside the fireplace and disappeared. "Disgusted"! Random npcs are also running towards my mail box and disappearing like its a spawn point or something.

Did it happen after you went into cas or from traveling, I suspect it's the same bug where two or more npc inc toddler suddenly inside your house then vanish fee secs after.

I was just outside in my yard building my space ship. Then I saw lights on in my living room, the npc was in the living room. I had auto lights on and I was outside so my living room should not have lit up as my sim lives alone.

Ah, so it's not just me. Last night when I was playing (again), two random Sims walked right in and sat at the computer! I couldn't even get the "Ask to Leave" option! One, I didn't mind too much, which was the Mermaid from the trailers and wanted to befriend her, but it still was annoying.

I think that part is intentional: It's part of the whole "very friendly neighbors" in Sulani. If you live on that island you probably don't have enough of them to just drop in on you, so the game makes up some townies. I had it too when I threw my party last night, and my Sim live in the sandy lot across the water from "you". She only knew 3 ppl, so the game invented three townies to come and crash the party.

Yeah I am convinced that the OP has a bug: People are not supposed to spawn inside the house. BUT the second half of the problem is that the game seems to have a rule to only allow Island Living townies in Island Living, so even if you have 100 homeless ("Not In World") Sims that are unemployed, it generates new ones that has Oceanic names and looks.

I’ve had a random Sim stand around a house I built on the 50 x 50 lot. They are marked “Vendor” and stand in the middle of the living room all day long. Very strange!
