- simsimsereRising ScoutI want horses but kind of don't want them to come in a farming pack. I want a whole equine pack :joy:

Grapes to make wine (like in The Sims 3) and parfums, insences or soaps using flowers.
Wouldn't that be vineyards rather than farming? I'd expect if they did a farm pack it'd take the red barnyard with chickens route
For me personally I don't really care for farms, but I don't see why people don't just make farms already? We already have every type of crop/vegetable/fruit/flower that you can grow and make a farm from, you can add beekeeping to it, there's already haybales in game and you can pretty easily make a barnhouse. There's also functional cc chicken coops out there for pc players.- Animals are honestly the only thing interesting to me about this pack idea, both as livestock and pets.
- some animal to gather wool from which could be used for knitting etc
and maybe we could have like spinning wheel and loom or such
possible old timey objects to make things like say come back of nectar making or butter churn or such
horses be cool
other than that idk i guess animals in general be fun and maybe like crop field object of some kind - DaraviNew TravelerBigger lots, mostly. Although new harvestables and new receipts for meals/drinks would be also nice to have.

There is not much point to the current gardening system. We can use the produce to cook or sell. The fizzy juice machine is too large and helps very little with managing large stock of crops, so you end up selling them anyway. For what it does, I think it should have been a table top juice extractor. I would like farming to offer more purpose. Like grow carrots for cooking, carrot juice/nectar, feed to rabbits or horses. From rabbits we could collect fur and they would destroy crops if left loose. Horses could be used for transportation. Similarly, we could have chickens to collect eggs from and they could help by eating away weeds, seedlings, bugs, and those crops that fall to the ground and later sprout a new plant. Roosters could function as a clock and wake your sims up every morning at 6 o'clock and you would need one in your flock if you want your chickens to hatch eggs. Pigs could help to sniff out truffles and provide manure for crops and will eat everything you feed them. Sheep, goats, llamas could provide wool for knitting or making carpets, and milk that could be used to make cheese and butter. I would also like to be able to make a flower farm, like lavender farm in France or tulip farm like in the Netherlands and use the flowers to make perfumes, oils, soaps, etc. Even a vinery would be nice, and we could make wine or alcohol from the rotten fruit, but the aging system would need to make sense not random like in TS3. It should be correlated with the seasons or years that actually passed in game. Also, when we play with gardening on long seasons we get a lot of produce and, like I said, not much to do with it but sell. We need a system to help repurpose the crops without just selling it away. - Growing and reaping crops are so satisfying. I love doing that in Rune Factory. I also like gardening in TS4

I'm not interested in farming at all to be honest. But I would buy it if I could get my horses that way. I would prefer a horse pack though. - SweetieWright_84New Spectator

All of the above except for the meat one.
See, this is great to know. Given we already have carrots, potatoes, a scarecrow, etc, I honestly thought meat from a slaughterhouse was what people were after and I've been so confused.
I can't speak for others, only for myself. I just think that may be a bit too far. I'm not vegetarian or vegan but I would imagine many who are wouldn't really like that. I don't see a need for that in game. I haven't even used the meat wall from Eco Lifestyle. - FatTribble23New ScoutEverything except number one. I can't see a slaughterhouse in the Sims. Ew. Plus a tractor, which I sorely miss from S3. Sims 3 did it right with the chicken coop and the cow manger thingie. I miss fighting with Charles the evil chicken!
