What's the point of EA giving us those polls and surveys!?
Evidently, they aren't even paying attention to the responses they've received from them, so what's even the point!? Why send them out in the first place!? Never once in ANY of the polls we've gotten have I seen a Star Wars option... evidently, even if it was there, the majority of Sims fans wouldn't have said "yes" to it anyway (the backlash to the upcoming game pack speaks for itself).
Also, throughout all of these forums (along with on social media), Sims fans from all over the place can be seen demanding for things like farming, amusement parks, more family gameplay, werewolves, casinos, etc... and yet, EA remains completely tone deaf and ignores all of it! Most likely because they don't wanna put in the effort or hard work into actually making what fans want (which is typical of them).
The developers claim they're listening to us, but they clearly aren't... this is *at least* the third major backlash they've gotten from a pack announcement (and it's the biggest so far). They aren't going to learn their lesson... and honestly, I have absolutely NO sympathy for the backlash they're receiving and will continue getting! They should know by now, by experience, what happens when they release a pack that's obviously NOT something the vast majority of players want! They've experienced backlashes before... and yet, apparently it's not getting through their heads! So yeah... I have NO sympathy for them! They wanna continue being arrogant and ignoring what fans want, then they can take the backlash!
They KNOW what fans want in The Sims... they simply choose to ignore everything we demand because they think we're mindless zombies who will purchase anything (though, they aren't technically wrong... because Sims fans have been known to do that in the past). But, still... they're purposely being oblivious to what we actually want in the game and it's becoming increasingly exhausting! Paralives just keeps looking better and better! It's about time this franchise has some REAL competition in the life simulator genre! Hopefully that'll be EA's wake up call, but I won't hold my breath!
It also wouldn't surprise me if they're gonna include a specific piece of content (like spiral staircases) in this pack... just so people will buy it for that specific thing... and when they see how "great" the sales were, they'll assume it was a big hit (because common sense doesn't exist for EA) and continue making more garbage packs like this one... that's how greedy EA is.
This will be the second pack in the entire franchise I refuse to buy... (the first being 'My First Pet'). The Sims 4 will be the first time I won't be completing the collection. It's disappointing, but I'm NOT gonna contribute to telling EA this is acceptable! They won't be getting a single penny from me for this ridiculous pack! Honestly, I regret criticizing 'Eco Lifestyle' as badly as I did... because while I definitely don't think it's worth the $40 they're asking for, it's not nearly as bad as this horrific excuse for a pack... this Star Wars pack is pure advertisement and an obvious cash grab!
