What's your routine when a household is moving?

I do something similar to you but not as detailed. I make my sims take everything except the counters, plumbing, and ceiling lights, and outdoor stuff (with the exception patio furniture, I take that). I don't have a real estate system in my game but my sims only buy the houses they can afford.
