Whenever I send my sim home the UI vanishes
When I try to send her home the UI to do anything vanishes, even when I click on something nothing appears. Help?
I use mods. However they're all up to date. What could be broken?

You need to take all the mods out to test if this happens without any mods installed. If it works without mods, start adding a few back in starting with custom content, then your most used mods, until it breaks again. When it breaks, you know it's because of one of the mods you just added back in. Test those one at a time. To be sure, take out all your mods again, put only the mod you think is broken in alone. This will let you know if the mod is actually broken or if it conflicts with another mod you have installed.
Just don't save your game during this process, especially without custom content.
