- HopeyStarrRising TravelerOut of the three (four lol) options, I would rather open world. At the very least open neighborhoods to make the world feel more alive than just walkbys and festivals.
- I've gotten used to not having any, but open world is what I miss most! The loading screens are often very tedious (especially when simply visiting a lot next door or across the street)... I missed Create A Style for awhile when the game first launched, but have adapted to not having it, especially since swatches have gotten much better, with more variety. Also, it's much easier to furnish lots without the overwhelming options of design... though, it also didn't help that Sims 3's default swatches seem like they were purposely made to be ugly, which would essentially "force" us to feel the need to use CAST every way possible (since it was a major selling point of the game).
- You can call it being indecisive, greedy even, but I can't decide on just one and honestly I want all three.
- cb2342zSeasoned SpectatorPreferably, all three given they are all pretty much at the top of "nearly a decade later, TS4 is still missing these from its predecessors" list.
I think Create a Style, for outfits at least, is doable; and in some ways, could likely be implemented similarly to skin tones.
A world builder isn't really needed--just give us lots that have absolutely NOTHING as set dressing. - catloverplayerSeasoned AceOpen World.
- Create-a-Style is extremely intuitive and the easiest way I can slap purple and black checkerboards on everything. However, because I'm a PC user, that's technically possible to achieve with very simple mods and that's how I manage to make swatches I need for my Sims (I need my bright pink military uniforms and purple men's clothing). In fact, making purple and black checkerboards just requires I replace textures and is easier than recoloring parts. Of course, console players would be locked out of said option unfortunately but honestly, that's the console manufacturer's fault for not being as mod friendly as the PC. Still, Create-a-Style's main perk is that it's extremely easy to use and you don't need to back out of the game, extract textures, and recolor parts when you can just do everything in-game and I would welcome its return had performance issues been resolved. And with today's modern hardware, I should think that it's possible to return Create-a-Style intact, especially since many modern games nowadays have their own recolor customization like it. Should it return, at the very least, allow me to just recolor if material swapping or patterns aren't possible.
Create-a-World is something I haven't really messed with in 2 and 3. It's way too much effort for me so just stick to pre-made worlds. I should try it out, however, so I can make my own abominations of buildings and maybe have too much fun with it.
Open World, I want back the most. I abhor the amount of loading screens in 4 and is the main reason I stick to my home lot all the time. I love seeing one of my Sims at, say, the library, visiting another household, and then checking on in Sims back home, it kinda blew me away when I first played 3, and this is coming from someone who played 4 first.
