A World is often a reason for me to buy a pack. I'm not interested in Wedding Stories, but with the current sale I'm wondering what those of you with the pack think about Tartosa? I like to build, and a variety of Lots, and in nature, though I tend to prefer smaller lots and these are mostly 50x. Is there Fishing in the Neighbourhoods? Or other activity? What do you like or dislike about Tartosa?I genuinely don't think I would use the events or the CAS, I'm really just interested in the World.

I don't have any sims living in Tartosa but I do recommend it for Community Venues. I have a nice bar on the beach front lot, Julianna's Bridal Boutique, Isabel's jewelry shop, for all those wedding ring purchases, and a cosy bistro. Might add a little Bed & Breakfast once AA releases.

I recommended this for several reasons. The beautiful waterfalls sims can swim close to.The romantic fountain close to the beach. The World in general is beautiful and romantic. Sims can swim in the ocean

I would NOT be recommending Tartosa, if the world is all you're interested in, for several reasons: The waterfall is beautiful, but you cannot interact with it. You can't even swim that close to it. (unlike Sulani)You can swim in the water, but you can't snorkel or dive anywhere, not even near the face you can see from above. (unlike Sulani)The walkways are pretty, but you can't take a walk or hike along them. You can click somewhere on them and tell your sim to go there, but that is about it. They will run (like sims always do) and not enjoy the scenery. (unilke Mt Komorebi) The maze looking hedges cannot be used as a maze (unlike Windenburg)The lighthouse cannot be interacted with (unlike Brindleton Bay)The so called special tree has no interactions on it, what so ever. (unlike Willow Creek)The "downtown" area have very weird opening hours, closing at 5 pm (very unlike any Mediterranean country I've been in. Towns usually come alive at 8-9 pm there.) They also open late, at 9 am, so you can't really go down for your early morning coffee before work like so many do in this region. There isn't a single lot in the downtown area, only these little cutouts with food - non of which serve anything Mediterranean, there isn't even a bistro! The number of lots are few and far between (9 in total) making the world feel empty and eventless. There are no events of any kind in town (unlike San Myshuno, Sulani, Mt Komorebi...) I cannot deny that the world is beautiful, however. It is. Stunning. But it's a pretty picture with no real life to it. I guess you can add some by building a second towncenter and using rentalts to fill the place with actual people, but if you're not into CAS or BB it's a lot of money to spend on a pretty but fairly useless world.

I think it's absolutely gorgeous, but I don't play it as often as I originally anticipated, because it tends to feel rather empty to me. But it's great if you have a household of homebodies. For example, I haven't spent a lot of time on this yet, but I found a gorgeous ancient vineyard lot on the gallery, and I'm planning to add a family that is focused on making and selling nectar. I figure they will be pretty busy with that! (Once I see how the Adventure Awaits and B&H features combine, if possible, I might also try to have them run a little b&b from there as well.) My only other household there is a single sim who likes to spend all her time reading and swimming on the beach, and isn't particularly social, so that's fine, too.

I love Tartosa. The beautiful World, CAS & Objects. I totally ignore the actual title, I call the pack Sims 4 Tartosa.

That is a good point. I like having restaurants and nightclubs in the same world as my sims. With my big rotational saves the worlds fill up fast. But Tartosa is just so beautiful that I find ways to work around it so my sims and I can enjoy the views.

halisimmer I was so fed up with the whole situation that I didn't do a single wedding for once. I figured I could start a new bug report and today while I was trying to get a screenshot in an unmodded game I found out it is fixed. No idea if it's been fixed two weeks or two months. It wasn't mentioned in a single patch note or laundry list. Hiding fixes by not mentioning them in the patch notes feels so weird. But it seems to be resolved.
I immediately went to check the other bug report I made at the same time just in case that was also fixed without the slightest hint in the patch notes but no luck.

SheriSim I love this creative use of Small Businesses! Your storytelling is really selling me on this, it sounds like a lot of fun. I have been enjoying Businesses and Hobbies--the only downside is they don't register as certain lot types for events or aspirations, even if the activity is available.

JesLet40 Thanks for the detailed thoughts! I do like the interactive waterfall in Sulani (and so happy they finally fixed fishing in Sulani!). I don't do diving or other interactions, I just thought the number of lots might be worth it. Maybe on a bigger sale someday...

simgirl1010 I'm really excited about Bed & Breakfast. I've been starting to replace lots in my saves and the vacation rentals and community lots are always the most satisfying. I've actually just renovated one in Granite Falls that I'm really enjoying.
