[1.118] Broken UI after Patch: Live Mode, Menus, etc.

So basically, while I don't know if I'm wording it right the UI for the "close" button and "okay" buttons are glitching on my side. I don't know why; I do have mods installed and perhaps that could be the issue but even in like sims inventories it is off. I'll upload some screenshots for further proof. If it could be fixed that would be awesome. While the game is still playable and I'm able to function normally; it is an eyesore and I believe should be fixed ASAP as it could be confusing for some users if they are experiencing the same issues as me. More than likely it's not just me having these issues.

When UI breaks like this just after a patch, it's because you turned your mods on without first checking if they're broken, updated, or cleared. Start at the current Broken and Updated Mods and CC topic (for patch 1.118). See How to Use Mods and CC for how to manage your mods when the game updates.

I'm going to make this a general post for these UI issues after patch 1.118

Not entirely sure what's happening. I tried deleting mods and changing resolutions but nothing worked. I have an old macbook from 2015 so idk if that's the case too.

I moved this to the mods forum as it looks very much like one of your mods are still active.

Please follow these steps to test your game on vanilla game with no mods/cc

Create a backup of your save game

Move your mods folder to the desktop

Delete the following files from your user folder.
- localthumbcache
- Any lastException Files
- Any LastCrash files.

Test your save (you will loose all cc on the save but since you created a backup you can go back to that afterwards) and see if the same error occurs, then report back.

Someone else will assist you further to find out which mod but usually it's an outdated UI mod.

Breonatki3 For the mod cause, start at the pinned Broken/Updated Mods thread. The current one is Broken and Updated Mods and CC. See also the pinned "How to" post, especially the section on managing your mods after game updates.

The menu where the options is, is all together from the build menu to the options one are all on top of each other when I first got into my game then they spread out a bit but it's still a bit mucked up.

Teza87n This is a result of having outdated mods, usually TwistedMexi's Better BuildBuy. See the Broken/Updated Mods and CC lists for patch 1.120 - both the December one and this week's.
