That worked for me thank you @ThePrettyPeach
So after the update a few months ago I opened my game shortly after to find all the furniture mods I had placed had disappeared. I updated and went through all my mods to see which could be causing the problem but nothing seemed to fix it. I still have said mods and can still place them but all furniture cc’s previously placed in all my sims homes have disappeared. Original furniture apart of the game is still placed in the homes just not any modded furniture or wallpapers. Is there any way to get it back to how it was without placing it all back one by one? I spent weeks and countless hours decorating my sims home just for 90% of it to vanish after the update. Is there any other solution to getting it back to how it was without going in and placing it all again one by one? This is how the house looks now. It still has original sims items placed just none of my modded wallpapers or furnitures which was at least 90% of my decor.
@kxrmin Please see the p. 1 Solutions post of the topic I'm moving you into.

Hi, I’ve never had this issue before. But I have now. Whenever I enter build mode and try to change my house a little bit, it wouldn’t let me place counters nor tables down and as it shows in the image it just says “script call failed”. I have no idea if it’s because of an update or something or even mods, from what I’m aware, this is only (haven’t checked other items expect sinks; that work) items that don’t work and it’s the whole kitchen counters section and the table section.None of the kitchen counters nor tables will place down. Anybody know the reason for this? Please help.
I’m thinking about getting a more beefy computer to help chug through the constant updates/EPs, which is kinda pathetic since TS4 was always sold as a laptop/ minimum pc kind of game.
Im both glad im not the only experiencing this, now without mods, but also rlly sad other people are having this frustrating experience, because video games are supposed to be fun, and transport you to a virtual world, but if i want to play i have to spend a lotta time out of the game now to get it to work/run.

Does this happen when you test with your mods folder removed?
i don’t know if i’ve accidentally deleted it but my mods folder has disappeared from my mac. everything still shows up when in the game, but just my kitchen counters have disappeared. when i try to place kitchen counters it says ‘script call failed’, not for anything else though.
can anyone help please?
thank you!
@Skullmorish The counters etc issue has nothing to do with computing power. It's from an outdated mod that people need to get the new version of.
@classicteaspill This is caused by an outdated adult mod. Update your adult mods.
Whenever i go to place dressers, counters, or couches my game says script fail.
