Go to Deaderpools web site and update the mod. I did that yesterday and it gives no trouble now.
And I understand how you feel about just giving your phone number out like that, very good way of inviting scammers to call you.
Also, try changing your options in the EA App. Do Not let it auto update the game. Play offline until all the fuss and bother of bad updates dies down. Do this before starting the game. I actually never play the game with the EA App online, unless I am using my customised saves, mods and tray folder for going to the gallery. This is not a multiplayer game so why EA think we need to be online playing it I do not understand.
I did update the MCCC and WW. But still couldn't launch the households
