Can't enter build mode after a sim gave birth

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not too sure, I don't even know how I came across it myself
What happens when the bug occurs? I can't enter build mode due to an "active" sim giving birth when there isn't.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to enter build mode when a sim is clearly not giving birth.

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I updated my game to the recent free patch and only just now dealt with this bug

My sim was in labor when I was controlling my other sim while he was on detective duty, I switched to the female and had her go to the hospital alone and when she was done and home with the baby I switched back to my other sim to finish his shift. Now he's home and I'm unable to enter build mode as the game is still considering that my sim is still in fact giving birth when she's indeed for sure not giving birth and they can interact with the baby. It won't let me save my game to restart and I can't do anything else.
