Yes. I made a "save as" before then closing the game, and removing my custom food mods. The error plays any time I try to load my main household on their home lot. They can visit anywhere, but going to their house, or even moving to a different one, brings up the error code.
I read about the error being caused by custom food plates, so I bulldozed the entire lot in advance, and even emptied out the inventory of each Sim; still got the error code.
If you save the household to your Library and reload them in game, are they fixed?
Only if I start a whole new game with that household. Otherwise, I have to recover an older save with the custom food mods in.
I'm doing a decades challenge, so starting a new game would remove all the genealogy of that household.
Do a Save As after all the removals of mods, not before. See if that helps.
What good would that do if I still get the error code? Wouldn't that just be doing a "save as" for a corrupted save?
Not trying to argue or anything. I'm just concerned about not being able to recover an older save.
