Infinite Loading Screen

Update: I removed all mods and cc and now when I try to load my game, the loading screen to get into my save file is infinite as well. So I really don't know what's wrong if now its doing this without mods or cc

Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?

Best is to delete the ones you have, then trigger the error and check if new ones are created.

If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.

Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Uploading the file is meant for troubleshooting.

sorry for the delay. wanted to update my game and try and it looks like still having an issue with the loading screen. Attached is the last exception report that generates.

Please move your mods folder to the desktop, delete Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > localthumbcache, repair your game and then try again on a backup of your save to see of you can duplicate the issue on a game with no mods.

There's several mods mentioned in this LE so start with removing those. Do check for updates with the creator.

This can be caused by multiple issues. One is that you used CC that needs updating for DX11. You can use a batch fix in Sims 4 Studio for that.

The other is that you removed certain mods or CC:

• If you removed cooking mods, put those back or try to delete plates/food in Build/Buy mode.
• If you have Growing Together and use or used to use CC, add Lumpinou's Milestones Fixes mod.
• If you have any freelance career or gigs mods that doesn't have an available update since fall 2024, remove those mods. Then do a “Save As” within game, then exit and reload the save.

I was able to get it to work!! Thank you! The only issue I'm having now is my toddler sim is making talking movements but no words are coming out of her mouth. No sound for her at all. I went into cas and tried to modify her voice and still no sound.
