Invited Sim disappears from venue after arriving

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Dogs & Cats, City Living, Get to Work, Get Together, Jungle Adventure, Outdoor Retreat, Vintage Glamour Stuff, Backyard Stuff, Spooky Stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have any single Sim invite another on a date, or to hang out at a bar or lounge. This doesn't happen every time, but often enough that it's become a pain when trying to level up in romance or charisma. Always seems to happen with the same Sim, i.e. the one being invited.
What happens when the bug occurs? Both Sims appear in front of the venue, then the invited one disappears and if you try to invite them to join you, it says they're busy. The inviting Sim can't see them, or do any group interactions such as order them a drink or dance with them.
What do you expect to see? Both Sims should appear in front of the venue and be able to interact.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I think this began after the Spooky Stuff installation, but am not sure.  The first time it happened I thought the Sim was ghosting my girl, but it's happened twice since with different Sims although, again, it doesn't happen every time.  But once it happens, my Sim can't go anywhere with the disappearing Sim because they disappear as soon as they arrive at a venue.
