Mods & CC Not Showing + Mods Folder Corrupted After Update
I’ve been trying to fix this issue with my mods and custom content all day with no success, and I’m really stuck.
I recently got a gaming laptop (this is my first one), and ever since the latest update for The Sims 4 . My mods and CC stopped appearing in-game. The strange part is that they are still showing in my PC folders, just not inside the Mods folder where they should be recognized by the game.
To try and fix it, I:
- Backed up and extracted my entire Mods folder
- Uninstalled the game
- Restarted my laptop
- Reinstalled the game
- Re-downloaded all my CC and mods
- also repaired the game twice.
After reinstalling everything, I ran into another issue. My Mods folder did not show properly inside The Sims 4 folder as its own folder. When I restarted the game and loaded it, the Mods folder showed up in my general PC storage instead, under a different name, and it was being treated like a subfolder.
When I tried to extract/unarchive it, it kept going back to that same incorrect location instead of going into the Sims 4 Mods folder.
