My apartment is gone

I spent multiple hours building an big apartment with 6 units in the new world after i just got the new pack and it started lagging so i thought i would restart the game but when i came into the game again my build was all gone, the old build was back again and everything i did was gone, also keep in mind i saved MANY times before restarting. So WHY does this happen and is there any way i can get back my build? or should i just give up. i am so sad right now because it was so pretty. please please help. ( i do have mods, so in that case, which mod could be causing this?) if not any mod, what could it be and how do i fix it?

    @TheBubblySimmer 

    Check your save file and try to recover an earlier version of the save.  You might be able to get your build back that way.  Although, it sounds like your game is not saving, or not saving properly and the game is reverting to an earlier save that it can load.  

    I suggest you test to see if your saves are actually happening.  

    And if they aren't and you are using mods, I suggest you test without mods to see if everything is working.

    If the game works without the mods, then your issue with saving may be being caused by a broken or out of date mod.  You'll have to test them all until you find the mod causing the issue.

    @CGrant56 it still doesn’t work even when i took the mods out.
    Look its like this, when i come in to the game and am in the world i see my build but then when i load in to the lot its gone, the old one is back?!? like whyy. i am so sad. And i also tried building a wall on another lot and saving that and restarting the game and that also was gone when i came back. so i really dont understand.

    When you are on the world map, is there any type of icon over the lot? Like a green or orange triangle with an exclamation point in it.
