Newest Update to Sims4 not it won't even open.

I just did the latest update to Sims4 through EA and it disabled my mods to I enabled them again and closed the game to start it up once more, except it did not come up. Now it says App  is unresponsive. I thought updates were to fix bugs not add major ones.
