It also tracks updated game mods and important updates to custom content. If you use mods, this thread's compiled lists and ongoing reports can help you prevent game errors and help you avoid having to batch-test your whole Mods folder. SORT THE THREAD FOR WHAT YOU NEED: For the COMPILED LISTS, sort by Oldest For the MOST RECENT INFO, sort by Newest Some things are NOT covered: early-access content separate translation files creators/mods outside the T (for Teen) game rating (no adult mods! that includes murder etc.) creators/mods outside the EA and EA Answers HQ rules, and the Maxis guidelines for Sims 4 content creators loading screens, CAS backdrops, main menu backgrounds, and poses unless it's clear that the update fixed an error or added a major new feature (not just a new design) Sims 4 Multiplayer Mod updates that don’t change the version number cosmetic, thumbnail-change, new-swatch, and tag-change updates to CAS and Build/Buy CC, or any CC updates that don’t say what was updated mods and CC hosted on sites that are mostly adult content or that require free membership on a site under-18s can't join NEW: Creators who upload other creators' CC/mods when the other creators are still active. Why: While there may be no legal issues here, these mass uploads cause problems for Simmers, who quickly end up with mods they didn't know they downloaded, duplicates, and broken mods. Not everything legal is ethical. In addition, news for mods/CC hosted only on Mod the Sims may be selective and/or delayed. In the end, YOU are responsible for your mod use. Core, Injector, Testing, and Protection Mod Status This list covers "true" core/injector mods, venue lists, and similar mods that enable others; it not not cover recipe enablers. It also covers mods used for testing other mods and for protection against certain kinds of mods acting as malware. The current version number (if used), file date, and download sources are provided. The most commonly required mods are emphasized. About This Thread

This thread tracks Sims 4 mods and CC that have been "broken" or made obsolete by game update 1.115, May 27, 2025, and the June 17 update (also 1.115), or declared unsupported by their creators. It also tracks updated game mods and important updates to custom content. If you use mods, this thread's compiled lists and ongoing reports can help you prevent game errors and help you avoid having to batch-test your whole Mods folder. You can bookmark this topic in your browser and sort by NEW to check the day-by-day lists of additions that start after the compiled lists. You can follow this topic to get notifications of new posts, which will arrive by email if you set up email notifications.

SORT THE THREAD FOR WHAT YOU NEED:

For the COMPILED LISTS, sort by Oldest
For the MOST RECENT INFO, sort by Newest

Some things are NOT covered:

early-access content
separate translation files
creators/mods outside the T (for Teen) game rating (no adult mods! that includes murder etc.)
creators/mods outside the EA and EA Answers HQ rules, and the Maxis guidelines for Sims 4 content creators
loading screens, CAS backdrops, main menu backgrounds, and poses unless it's clear that the update fixed an error or added a major new feature (not just a new design)
Sims 4 Multiplayer Mod updates that don’t change the version number
cosmetic, thumbnail-change, new-swatch, and tag-change updates to CAS and Build/Buy CC, or any CC updates that don’t say what was updated
mods and CC hosted on sites that are mostly adult content or that require free membership on a site under-18s can't join
NEW: Creators who upload other creators' CC/mods when the other creators are still active. Why: While there may be no legal issues here, these mass uploads cause problems for Simmers, who quickly end up with mods they didn't know they downloaded, duplicates, and broken mods. Not everything legal is ethical.

In addition, news for mods/CC hosted only on Mod the Sims may be selective and/or delayed.

In the end, YOU are responsible for your mod use. Because not all content and creators are covered on this official forum, many of you should be following creators directly for news. The pinned topic How to Use Mods and CC includes advice about game updates, mod management, finding broken mods, and how to avoid downloading broken and malicious content. And remember… Back up your Saves folder!

NOTE: This is the last update before patch 1.116, July 1. It will be a big pre-EP patch, so plan to play mod/CC free, and that doesn’t mean only removing script mods (I don’t know where that idea came from).

ALSO: The Sims team decided that Canada Day is a good patch day. I'll be getting the new thread up with some initial 98% sure broken content, but it might not get updated superfast on the 1st, or at all, depending on the urgency of the news and if I notice it.

BUT... It has only some 99% surely broken mods listed to start with. I'm mostly offline July 1 for Canada Day.

Presume your mods all broke. I'll be back to catch the thread up likely tomorrow as creators (the ones not away on summer holidays) get a chance to start testing their mods and looking at new code, and as trusted testers get a chance to start checking what likely broke. I'll be keeping an occasional eye out for urgent news, but you shouldn't be playing with mods after updating for 1.116 yet anyway.
