Pose Player Revelation!

I have been thinking about adding pose player for a while. Hearing about all the experience others have had in this thread I'll denfinatelyadd it in. Thank you for sharing your experiences everyone.

I've been meaning to comment on this thread all week, but I was mostly on mobile, so unable to share pictures.

I initially had my reservations about pose player, but back then I had only just started using mods. I found it is really easy to use and good for a great deal of things.
But finding the right poses is an absolute chore if you ask me. I know there are several good pose creators and I usually look at their stuff when I'm looking for something. But if you're looking for a really specific pose, it's almost impossible to find -or worse, you do find it but it's hidden behind ad sites or a pay wall.

I'm not currently sharing an actual story on my blog, so I don't use poses very often. And even in stories, I try to use in game animations more because they're more readily available.

That said, in my current gameplay legacy, I use poses for family portraits and such.

I sometimes also use poses to make promo material for new things on my blog - I did this one for the 7 toddler challenge I played last year:

(and yes, that is the same Sim as above, I loved my toddler caretaker so much that she went on to get a degree at uni and then started a legacy)

They have a fairly well thought out masterlist that makes it pretty easy to find what you're looking for.

@KiniHokulani thank you!! And yeah, the male or female rig specifications can make things... awkward :-\ Like the first Caleb and Morgyn set works because my Morgyn is shorter than Caleb (I use Luumia's height slider), but the others don't quite work because they end up at the same height. Conversely, Caleb and Johnny are around the same height, but so many of the couple ones have a height difference! (Like the one where they're cuddling on the bed.) Does make it tricky sometimes!

I do most of the poses for my stories myself, it's hard to choose your favorite

I do have it but rarely use it because it is a bit time consuming to place them anywhere and then find the poses, etc.

I am so happy I found this thread. After reading all these posts I finally gotten around to play with poseplayer and I finally managed to make some nice pictures for my sims to hang on their walls. Their homes feel so much more alive with a personal touch.
