Re: CAS Background Broken?

@emstevenzz I have the issue too, however the CAS background did go back to its default after I removed the CC. I tried deleting localthumbcache and put it back in, but the question mark was still there. No telling if the creator will update these, I certainly hope so.

@MsMoBear Looks like some CAS Backgrounds need DX11 updates. Have you tried switching back to DX9?

@luthienrising Thank you so much for bringing that up! I had forgotten that I had gotten pushed into DX11, and from the wording, I thought I wouldn't be able to get back to DX9. However, I was able to find the setting and switch it back to DX9, and when I put the CC background back in and went into CAS, the background was working again, so definitely seems to be the DX9 to DX11 change.

However, I actually like the change with DX11, and my game feels smoother, so I'll just find a background that is compatible or stick with the default!

Were you able to figure it out.. mine has a question mark and ive removed all the cas background it could possibly be

it's the recent change to dx11 breaking certain image files. you'll have to wait for creators to update their mods or attempt the sims 4 studio batch fix, it was able to fix 75% of my broken cc. alternatively you could revert back to dx9 however the game is a lot prettier and has better rendering performance on dx11.
