Me too, I can do everything else normally BUT enter CAS. Manage households is fine, going into different worlds, gameplay is fine, building works. But as soon as I want to edit a household or create a new sim it just stops at the loading screen and stops working. Let me know if there is any way to fix this !

Just tried it. and it allowed me to go into CAS just without all my CC obviously.
@Its_Dosey Great, so that's progress. Can you enter CAS in your main save with no mods or cc present too? The question is whether this save is broken in some way. If it is, try loading a backup version:

If the save is fine without mods or cc, then you can start testing that content to find out what's causing the problem. Keep in mind that a lot of mods are broken right now; just because you find one problem mod doesn't mean the rest are okay to use.
Hi, i have the same problem and i've tried removing all the CCs & mods and also my saves, but when i click on start new game it only shows white screen. The game is running perfectly fine except for the CAS mode. Do you have another idea on how to fix this? Thank you
I'm stuck on the loading screen and white screen. For me it happens when Better Exceptions mod keeps popping up. I try your idea.
If your stuck on the loading screen while trying to get into CAS, try getting rid of the more than three traits mod. I had the exact same problem, and removing that one did the trick for me. Hope this helps.
It finally worked when I took the more traits mod out. Hopefully it gets updated.
Why make a cas focused update if we cant use the benefits of the new cas with our usual cc? This games code must be so outdated by now, its horrible
Hey there, I had the same problem with my game after the update. However, I tried what you said (I think this is what you meant- sorry, I'm technologically *) and cleared all my save games and when I started a new game I was able to access CAS right away. I was also able to get into CAS from Live mode as well. Seems like the issue might have something to do with old save files, maybe?

That makes sense. It just sucks if we have to delete every save file, because i'm five generations deep... And we shouldn't have to delete our saves just because EA sucks at updating.
I followed your instructions and removed my mods file and deleted the localthumb.package. I can enter cas and new game without a problem. I have no MCC mod, no trait mods, no column mod, the only things that I have downloaded are custom content and recently better expections to see if my cc has a conflict with one another. I still have the same issue. I cannot enter cas and I cannot enter new game because it is stuck on either a white screen or a loading screen. The game works without a problem besides those two issues. What else can I do?
@mariafesik It sounds like your cause is broken CC, not the kind of mods in this thread's Solution post. Please do a "vanilla" test: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving. If that works, you can re-add CC in batches to find what's broken.

@Annygilit SimRealist's Private Practice is compatible with the current game version. Perhaps your version was outdated or missing pieces?
