Same here!!
The update has really created massive issues for players, especially PS4.
For days I've been trying to play it, saving every 2 minutes before the error code comes up. Now I turn it on and plays only a second before the blue screen so it's now completely unplayable.
I'm just glad I never paid for this game as it was free with playstation a few months back.
I've always had issues with the sims on PC and Xbox and from experience I'll never buy an expansion pack again (they always fried my hardrives)
I am literally only playing the base game and even that is unplayable.
It seems that EA would rather sit and wait for the money to roll in for Snowy Escapes than actually taking us all back to the previous version while they fix the latest one.
Also giving players advice to play without sound or reinstalling it is completely counter productive and just adds to players frustrations when it doesn't work (and it won't, don't bother!)
Because this is a general crash with no main trigger it's harder to pinpoint I understand that but finding out the solutions while we all sit and wait without giving us the previous update, we will be waiting for a long time!
Pull your finger out EA.
