Game locks to menu and can't close it

Have a sim do something like read a book, and the game will get stuck on the book menu.What happens when the bug occurs? You'll be unable to select a book, and though you can scroll the selections, you can't close the menu to do anything else.What do you expect to see? On console - never used.Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure&nbsp;‌This has happened at least twice to me in the past couple weeks. For no apparent reason, and always when I haven't saved in a while, I'll try to have a sim do something involving a menu, like cooking or reading or buying something, and suddenly it'll just lock onto the menu and the only way I can keep playing is if I restart the game and lose my unsaved progress. It's very annoying.Also, possibly related to this, the bug where the buy menus are blank is back yet again.

@Uigenna There's this issue that sounds similar: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/NEEDS-SAVES-Game-freezes-occasionally-when-opening-in-game-menus/td-p/11399190 although that's more a freeze before the menu shows up.

Maybe there's something separate for console though

@crinrict Unfortunately, my issue is different, but it might be related. My game freezes with the menu open and I can still scroll that menu, but not exit or make a selection.

Are you seeing any FPS drops in your game, or a delay with the menu's opening when selecting different objects?&nbsp;

@EA_Solaire Yes, but it's not worse when it freezes on the menu. I've also waited about ten minutes, hoping it was just lag, but it wasn't.

Thanks for this info! Do you have a fairly large or older save file? Can you also let me know how much free space you currently have on your console?&nbsp;
