Have you uninstalled and re installed the game and all DLC? uninstall it by pressing options then going down to delete on the sims 4 game on the profile home screen then redownIoad everything from your library. That fixed the game for me when I got the application data corrupted message pop up and couldn't load the sims anymore. I'm on ps4 too.

Thank you for your comment and the instructions on how to do this. No, I haven't done this yet. I admit I was afraid of losing everything, and since I have a lot of DLC, I was also afraid of how long it would take. I'll give it a try!

I was building in San Myshuno when this happened to me, no warning just crashed and gave me that message. I was wary the first time I had to do this too but you won't loose your save files by doing it this way you're just uninstalling the game application and all the DLC can be re installed separately one at a time so it should be quicker than installing it all at once cause urgh the WiFi speeds are on PS4 are so bad and I had the same reservations about having to install all my dlc too. Also after you've installed the base game you can press down when you hover on the sims on your ps4 homescreen and it'll have an option to manage and reinstall your dlc/addons from there or you can just install them from the sims game in your library. There was also a PlayStation system update a few days ago too if you're like me and have auto updates off and didn't know there was one 😣
