I had to bulldoze a 30x40 lot yesterday to build on it. I was left with patches of terrain paint as usual, but instead of just easily sweeping it away by expanding the Eraser tool to max size...I had to go dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot+ about another few hundred dots with the smallest size setting. Because the eraser and paint tool won't maximize or sweep in one fluid movement. I have RSI and dexterity problems soooo, thanks again for that.
I'm going to report this as a bug as well because I already reported it on here days ago. There are some things that were added as "improvements" and there are some things that were broken, like the terrain tool, resizing before placement, undo, copy, placing from the catalogue without several attempts, and so on and so on. It's one thing to take feedback on the (unnecessary) changes but it's another thing entirely to leave things broken. It's nearly 2 weeks of radio silence now from whoever was responsible and/or whoever will be fixing it.
This isn't making console players feel seen or heard. It's tucking us away again in the Consoles thread where problems go to hide (case in point the crashing thread we've had for years and the graphics settings problems).
I'm not even looking at the Sims 5. I'm not even reading the Project Rene threads, I'm not interested. And I've been with this franchise since the very start on PS, PC, Xbox and even on Android. I've spent the best part of 2 years battling to play because of technical problems on 2 different consoles and I'd literally just got my game working again after months out thanks to the HSY patch.
I look at the new content on it's way now and I just imagine all the ways it would break my game if I bought it and all the ways the pre expansion patch is going to break it anyway.
Edit: I've reported the terrain tool problem as a bug report but I'll attach an image of what happens when I try to maximize the tools/eraser here as well.
