You are literally wrong. I created a lot on my husbands origin account for him when he bought his game this June. The lot was entirely base game he does not believe in mods or CC. It offends him as a developer.
He has never uploaded anything to the gallery so this morning I uploaded the content I have created for him in his game to the gallery so I can have it on my PS4. I cannot download any of it because of this message "Cannot save content because it was created with a newer version of the game. Restart your game to check for updates".When I logged into Origin this morning to do this there was an update. So the update this morning for the PC is the reason I cannot download that content created in June today because the PC & the consoles do not, never have and never will get updates on the same day. In fact a house on the gallery from 12/28/19 by TheSimSupply also has this error message so lord help us when content from the PC will magically be available for console gamers!
Maxis needs to amend their updates policy immediatly because this is ridiculous! Especially since casual PS4 gamers who don't spend their lives following the PC updates cycle of a game they don't own on PC will think the gallery is completely broken. Mostly because from our perspective it frankly is.
CC is unable to be accessed on PS4, with that said, the issue is not with CC.
On PS4 the cloud icon is missing entirely for uploading, we can only save in "my gallery".
When looking in the online gallery it does show other users content, so that is not the issue.
The issue still remains with the missing upload icon (the little cloud) in the lower left corner of the save screen.
This is an ongoing issue, I have accessed it a couple of times in the past, but nothing is appearing now.
