We've not received other reports of an issue downloading the updates- the error code you're seeing indicates game data corruption, which is stored locally to your console.
If the data is corrupt, you would need to delete it from your console and reinstall the game. Corrupt game data cannot be recovered, it would need to be removed in order to start a fresh save file and continue playing.
If you're willing to uninstall and reinstall, please let me know how this works for you.
Hi,
I’m following up to report that the issue with The Sims 4 on my PS5 (PS4 disc version – Island Living Bundle) is still unresolved, even after taking every possible step — including spending money on PS Plus specifically to troubleshoot this problem.
Here’s what I’ve done:
Purchased PS Plus and backed up all save data (just now)
Fully deleted the game, packs, and local saves
Rebuilt the PS5 database
Clean-installed the base game from disc
Allowed the system to redownload everything from scratch
The result:
✅ The base game installs and runs
❌ Update 2.15 will not download or install. It is literally the only thing blocking me from playing. The update never progresses when literally everything else downloads or updates smoothly and quickly.
❌ My packs cannot be downloaded or accessed because this update cannot be processed.
Previously I received CE-108255-1, but that was before the recent updates and was resolved by rebuilding the database. The game worked perfectly until update 2.14 and now 2.15.
This confirms the problem is on EA’s end — not mine. And there are other reports of this.
I’m asking for:
Either, a transfer of my content to the digital version, or any other solution that gives me access to the game and packs I’ve paid for
Please escalate this if needed. I can provide purchase proof or pack history.
Thank you,
